Okay, 70's and sunny on Sunday, so let's hit up 116 into NY/VT and around.
Meet up at Cumby's in Amherst (Rt. 9 and S. East St.) at 9am, kick-stands up at 9:30. Come fueled or early enough to fuel up. We're looking at A/B pace and about 200 miles, so we'll be grabbing lunch and out most the day.![]()

Fast.
Everyone is welcome to come and ride their own pace, we definitely won't be breaking any land-speed records on the straights, but I definitely like to ride fast.
You'll get a taste of it on Saturday, baby girl, then you can judge if you want to come on Sunday.

I used to think the "main roads" were pretty awsome to ride (116, 2, etc.) until I discovered hidden treasures by jumping onto the not-so-frequented smaller roads. I still enjoy the main lines, 116 is wicked fun and route 2 going thru NY is like a mini tail of the dragon, but if you have time and you are riding with one or two riders, you really got to get off the most traveled roads and go onto the hidden ones...I'm talking roads such as the ones in mountain state parks, little farm roads covered by old, huge trees, etc...you come around a corner and there you find a pack of sheeps staring at you going by...the smells..the sights...a little water creek. A beautiful little spot where you can stop and rest, just lay down in the grass for a few minutes. Not to mention...barely any cars in sight and never seen a cop.
I don't see riding as "balls to the walls" anymore. I still enjoy the speed very much so..but I also want to slow down and enjoy...the ride.
