I am posting this for anyone who wants to join myself, and the R1/R6 forum for their annual convention at Deals Gap in NC. The convention will be from June 16-22. My wife and I will be leaving on the morning of the
15th and heading down. It has been going on for a few years now and is a complete blast.
Shane McCoy(spidermanss) of McCoy Motorsports has asked all of us to post this up to as many riders as we know. Remember you don't need an R1 or R6 to come and enjoy the festivities.
PM me or ask any questions you have.
Thanks
Brandon

I now live a couple of hours away ... about 110 miles from the Dragon.
As soon as I get the house settled in, will be spending a lot of time in
that area. I will be taking a weeks vacation during the SV rally to be there.
Also going to be doing a lot of exploring in the North Georgia area.
If any of you want to meet when you come down, drop me a PM.
Can you get out there in June too?
MSF RiderCoach
Sweet, I'll paste all new info here.

No new info just a bump

Snow starting at 4500 feet with strips of rock salt on the yellow line.
Eastern side of the mountains have lots of wet places that can freeze to black ice if it gets cold enough. In Santeetlah, the narrow section of road that goes along a brook then through countryside towards Robbinsville, there is some construction with warning signs "Loose Gravel".
Pay heed to those signs, they dug across the road and filled in with gravel. One of these is just beyond a blind turn and if you go into it fast, you will go down if you are leaned over and going any type of speed.
Zee was out taking pix for the first time this year.
CROT was open for the first day this year.
Very nice day!
ooo shit

Hey everyone, My name is Erik and im from Arlington, MA. I want to head down to the gap for the whole week but i do not have a trailer to put my R1 on. Is anyone around this area that would want to car pool down? Thanks
I rode to Deals Gap last week, left Thursday and got back on Monday. The weather was decent and the roads were perfect. I may be up for a trip there in June if work allows.
I am planning a big two week extravaganza in June... drive to the gap, ride for 4 or 5 days, drive to SC to stay with a friend for 4 days or so, then both drive down to Jennings GP for a track day, then drive alllllllll the way back to Boston.

I will be down for this convention, and most likely Erik will be too.

A twenty-one year old kid from Maryland died by mile marker 3 yesterday.
He was riding a 2008 'Busa.
Ok to get excited, but be careful.
