Great event, I missed a couple of years --

Went to Brit Jam yesterday. It’s getting long in the tooth. Good to see the enthusiasm of the older bike crowd but $10 to walk around for an hour and see less than I even was interested in seeing. Two friends rode up with us on 1971 and 1983 triumphs and only problem was me running out of gas on my ninja. Good thing we had a modern rocket 3 side car in our group. I figured it would provide support for the old bikes. Not for mine.
I used to take my Aprilia and then my Guzzi to the show. It was fun, many bikes there when I went, worth the afternoon. Nice ride to the show as well.
My favorite time was when I was looking over a Benelli Tre that I found really sharp. I tried to strike up a conversation with the owner who I found a bit arrogant. Then I asked him if it was reliable, and he got a bit miffed and said of course why wouldn't it be. 10 minutes later he goes to leave and it wouldn't start. Sharp bike though.

Thanks I do know that I've been to it a couple times. Saw a brand new desmosedicci that was ridden to it from NY puke oil all over the grass. Didn't mean to hijack. I think the Brit Jam brings a greasier assortment of bikes and the IMOC brings more garage queens. A friend has a brand new 748R race bike that I am trying to get him to bring to it. Never even started, but bet that will puke something when and if it ever gets started.

My beef with the Brit bike meets is the glittering, over-restored gilded lilies that take Best of Show awards. They were never that shiny when new.

Could just buy this and win some trophy at the event.
