There is a cool European Bike day in Brookline this Sunday. Lots of really nice vintage bikes, Vespa,Ducati,BSA,Triumph, Norton, Bultaco, Guzzi etc. Last yr there was Moto Guzzi demo rides for free as well. And of Course " Pretty Boy Floyd" riding in on his 46 Velocette with 280,000 one owner miles!!!

It's just a bunch of motorcyclist enthusiasts hangin out, they even let in ex-ODFU members![]()
it seems everybody and everything is Welcome [all makes]
There was a 1950s Vincent Black Shadow there last year, that was so very fine, I can still see it in my mind.
This might be the last year, or the last showing at Lars location??

something like Yankee Beemers put on the show but Lars Anderson retains all the profits? Its a good show in a nice setting.
I hope the Beemers will move it to another location or maybe Lars will share? I'll check the source for more details
if te weather forcast improves, I am thinkin of going. is there any rides to Lars Andersen originating from MotoMart ?

See you on the road scag!
I'd be interested in meeting up at Motomarket to ride in.
Yes, that is riding in the wrong direction to meet people but I have no idea how to get there and I'd rather go into the Boston bumper car combat zone with other riders.

Ben, coming in from Waltham is a breeze. Take Rte 9 East, go about 2 miles past the Chesnut Hill Mall (on your left, Atrium Mall earlier on your right) and take a right at the light of Lee St (it is just before a reservoir, if you see the reservoir on your right while on Rte 9 you just missed the turn). Follow Lee St. (it bears right) until it ends at Newton St. where you take a left (maybe .5 miles). Take a left at the light onto Newton and there's a split in the road (this is the park), bear right and you'll see the museum entrance down a couple hundred feet on your left.
Wish i could be there but I'm resigned to a family wedding.![]()
Also hope someone puts this event on again next year.
See you on the road scag!
Ah Ok, I know where it is then.
Ben
well, i'm in the same boat as hinesy. i was willing to go out for a long day ride, but i will be recovering from a saturday night wedding in chicago instead. i'd rather go with you guys!
GO TO TONY'S TRACK DAYS!
I'm Bikeless.
doesn't it suck being popular?![]()
See you on the road scag!
yes, it is true. hinesy and i are cursed with the popularity that most people just dream about! it's a heavy cross, but one that certain people are just meant to bear.
in fact, i'm so popular that i am going to another wedding next weekend. i know, i know, you guys are in awe...... perhaps another time i will be able to bless you with my presence....

Hinesy's popularity comes about as a result of him being a dead ringer for the hunchback of notre dame.
It's not so much popularity as morbid curiousity![]()

I think it woulda been better IF they had set up an area for ALL the bikes to park w/ a area for the SHOW bikes. There seemed to be alot of paople that rode in but w/ the parking so EVERYWHERE you could check em all out![]()

Rain of course, felt sorry for you guys as I drove across Rt 9 and saw some Beemer types getting soaked on their way in. Perhaps now that Yankee Beemers aren't going to run the event the curse of rain they've endured over years will be lifted. I hope this show perseveres.
And Zombie, as long as your wife retains her "morbid curiosity" I'll be happy...![]()

the highlight of the trip was on the way home when Mark & I made a wrong turn and rode into downtown Boston in the pouring rain, as we were passing a police station, a cruiser pulled out of the station drove down the road a few hundred feet then made a right hand turn into a side street, the made about a 270° spin and slamed hard sideways into a curb
