What do ya say about chartering a boat for an NESR Fishing trip....seems like some of us bikers actually have other interests!....might be a nice break from tearing up the tarmac?
I still love the smell of burnt racing fuel in the morning!
Awesome idea. I haven't sea fished for about 15 years and I SUCK at fishing, but it does sound like a good excuse for a beer run.
I'm IN! Let's do this. I KNOW there are a few fishermen here on this board.

Actually, let's talk to Chip (Gadget-whatever). Him & I were talking about a sea fishing adventure this past week. I believe he may be able to get us a deal...
On another note. Ya ever wanna do some NH bass fishing, just lemme know. We live on a private lake...Little dude across the cove from us caught a decent one the other day. Funny stuff! His pops was FREAKING!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Hmmmm yup.. just got back from a week of bass fishing Lake Winni. As far as chartering goes.. what ya looking to do? Stripers n blues? Or just a deep sea party boat? Alot of it will depend on how many people also and where ya wanna leave from and how much ya wanna spend.
I'm in. I've never done any deep sea fishing. sounds like a plan.

I just got back from fishing off Monamoy and had no luck what so ever! Great day though even the 4-6 foot seas coming back. We got my buddies boat out of the water 3 or 4 times!
Let me know what comes of this, I could be interested.

we got skunked today too, man the wind was ripping!

Stipers for the most part...bluefish would be fine early season and catch the "racers"...(early season bluefish)...later in the year their level of table fair drops off a bit..still good smoked..or even jig up some fluke.....but the striper fishing is awsome in the fall.....but date and location>----------?????..whatever....we can discuss this further at say...SOMETIME ABOUT JUNE 18-20!?!?!?....![]()

Ok cool.. any fishing sounds good to me. Just gotta figure the numbers... a charter striper trip would most likely be limited to 6 people or so depending on the boat and captain. More than that and you might have to take turns.. WEAK! A deep sea trip is open to 20 people or more perhaps also depending on the boat but that is more of a cod or scup or tautog type of fishing trip... cheaper than a charter boat but not as much fun for some.. but it would allow a bigger number of people to play.
You hit the nail right on the head.......6 tops for a decent sriper trip...but that's the typical number of riders that actually show up for a group ride....we'll have to see how many people commit....Originally posted by GadgettR1

That's funny.....me too. Although I was out by Cotuit 1-2ft seas 3-4 late day. Found a sweet spot of stripers (22-24") @ outgoing. Also stumbled on a big slick with some birds diving. Knew there were some blues underneath......threw a chug bug out and my suspicions were correct......big hits, one after another. Blues, I know...but it was fun to get some action. I would absolutely be down for a charter. Possibly out of Plum Island? 8 peeps or so?

Whats wrong with blues? I'd almost rather hit a big school of blues than try and chase one or two keeper bass all day...lol.
PS
Notice the RIPS in the background.. we were not too far off Nantucket
Oh but don't get me wrong we didn't hit just blues in that trip....
The boat kept the blues for lobster bait... we each got a keeper striper filleted and ready to cook by the time the boat reached the docks...

I would be in for this. I am not a good fisher & dont even eat any kind of seafood what so ever, but it's still fun to fight the buggers and toss a number ofdown while hanging with friends! If I get any keepers ya'll can divvy up my share to eat yourselves.

Love fishing the rips. Bierces (SP) on the Monomoy tip is fantastic. We do it on occasion but it gets interesting on an 18' center console. Gotta have those sea legs or you're chummin'. Nice striper!Originally posted by GadgettR1
