AUG 10 Track day

Hey everyone, just wanted to thank tony and the weather man for another great track day!!! It was great to see everyone again, and to put some faces with names.
A few crashes, but I think that the NESR crew did well and stayed on two wheels!!! Hope everyone who was lucky enough to get tomorrow off too has a great time.

Finally on my fourth attempt, I get a dry day!!!!
Another first is laying the knee pucks to the corners It scared the crap out of me at first, but kept getting better and picking up new turns to put down some plastic on the track!!!

Awesome riding with all of you from NESR we had fun!! And Brian ...... thats for you!!! Very kewl dueling it out back and forth with you!! Steve thanks for helping pick up my pace so I could get my Knee's down (Especially in turn 4, it's soooo easy!!! ) Hows your foot???

Tony, all the instructors and Corner workers! Thanks sooo much for running one of the best track days yet, from what I have been too... Everything ran great today!!!!! See you in OCT....

We sure did have a great time with great weather. I'm glad you all had fun. We try hard to make it the best organized track days around.

There were a few more crashes than normal with on poor guy breaking his collarbone and taking an ambulance trip. FYI, it's because we had hired 2 ambulances that the day continued uninterrupted.

I hope the mini "seminars" were useful. I know at least a few people who directly benefitted from the info.

Remember, you have until Sept. 1 to sign up for the October date at the special discount for the August attendees.

I thought the seminars were great..they really gave people something to think about and help set goals. As I mentioned to you at the track..thanks for following/leading us around and helping with our lines (yellow F4i and blue SV)....it certainly helped smooth things out as the day wore on.

The seminars were VERY beneficial and greatly appreciated. While there's a LOT I need to work on with my riding, it gave me something specific to concentrate on - with the overall goal of being smooth so hopefully next time (or the next time after that..or after that) I can start being faster

It was my first track day but definatley not the last. Now just have to get Double"D" out there for one on the ZX10.

To Tony, the instuctors and the corner workers thanks for the great learning experience that it provided.

As for the pics that Tracy (Double "D") took, when I sort through and clean them up I'll put up Post and link to them. Most likely sometime next week.

It was a great time...I had an awesome time riding with everyone.

Tony...great job in putting it all together. It went very smoothly...you do a great job. The raffle to raise $ for Bryan Pauqette was a nice thing to do.

Ken, Chris, Paul, etc...you are a great bunch of instructors...thanks for all the tips. It still amazes me to see a little 2 stroke fly by me when I am on my 900...it's definately more about talent than power.

Chris...you have some awesome footage from your camera...you going to make copies and sell them ? I'll give you $20...

Sorry had to go back to work today, and I work 12 hr shifts. But I will start working on cleaning them up and resizing them to make them more browser friendly. 6 Mega Pixal camera makes for LARGE
files.

Will be making a new avitar from one of the pics she took....

Also had the plus of putting more Faces to names, NESR rocks....

That kicked ass!!! I'm hooked. Turn 3 is my favorite, even though experimentation with the line/braking/turning points can get a tad hairy.

Thanks to Rice-rocket1 and DoubleD, I saw some of the photos they got and they look great!

Thanks to Ken too for the instruction. You are one hella fast-n-smooth rider.

hehehe, i bummed a ride from a celebrity you definitely earned the handshake that kid gave ya, bro... you thrashed that thing

and i had a blast as well... definitely pushed my bike harder than i've ever pushed it & i felt very comfortable for the most part... only a couple sketchy situations

oh, and i skuffed my knee slider for the first time in turn two, three separate times

next time i'm gonna work on remembering more people's names i met so many people & can't remember their names for the life of me

all in all... i had a FUCKING BLAST on my first track day

It was another great day. I was a little worried about the weather, but that turned out fine. Great to see a few new faces out on the track, much more fun than the street. I managed to stay upright even with a couple crashes and incidents happening in front of me. Looking forward to October, if I can't get to Penguins' trackday in Sept.

I had a great time chasing everybody and got a lot of good shots! I have a bunch of footage to review and reading to do. Since this was my very first attempt at on bike video it will take some time to get it from here to where-ever. I think I got at least one NESR person in on every session!

werd, i had a blast, too... just hope i wasn't one of those a-holes that blew past everyone in the straights & held em up in the turns.... i'm pretty sure i wasn't but it was tough to know for sure w/o mirrors

i did manage to get a knee down a few times in 2 so i think i did pretty good in the corners

Just finally got around to registering for the board, after hearing about it from a few people at Tony's track day...

I was the guy on the yellow VFR in the yellow run group. I had an absolute BLAST. This was my second track day (first one was last year), and it was a lot easier to get in a groove this year. Last year I just had Aerostich pants and a synthetic jacket, but last week I was in full leathers.

Ken's session about body positioning really helped out!! I regret that I missed the one about braking and throttle, but I'll grab it next time. After applying a few things I'd learned in the seminar, I too was one of the people who got a knee down for the first time last week. Touched it down for the first time in the second run session, and by the last run session, had it firmly planted in 2, 3, the bowl, and every now and then in a few other corners. Apparently I got a hell of a lot smoother as the day went on (to the point where the guy I went up with, and one of the instructors, took notice), and my corner speeds picked up significantly as a direct result.

Great track day, guys! We couldn't have asked for a better break in the weather, that's for sure.
