This Saturday, 7/13
If anyone is into the smell of "Nitro Methane", and are in the Laconia, Gilford area in New Hampshire, you should check this out!
Some of these Boats can reach speeds of 80+ mph., and run on 65% Nitro, spinning up to 30,000+ RPM's!
This is a Sanctioned points race for NAMBA New England,
(North American Model Boating Association)
Directions: Event is at Lily Pond, Gilford N.H. Off Rt. 3/11 Bypass
Easily reached from rt. 93 or 106, if you like the backroads.
Take Tilton exit off 93 north, head towards Laconia, take rt 3/11 bypass and follow to end. You will see a pond on the left. Take a left at set of lights. The pond is at the end of Laconia Airport, so all you need to do is find that, and you are there. I'm taking the Tiller up, and I'll be racing one of my "old" trusty Tunnel hulls....
1st time this year, so anything can happen.
Event will run from 10am to about 3 or 4pm, depending on how many classes, and boats are there.
