Ok, I have been itching to do this for a long time... Who's with me?
I feel a good amount of lower power with my new exhuast and when I install the new plugs and airfilters I will have some more untapped HP!![]()
![]()
Now I will just fabricate a kill switch because I am pretty sure I will run 120+ mph in a 1/4 mile... Better to have it then not and only get on run before geting tossed out....
I could be talked into going the 10th also!![]()

I'll go! I can do one... but probably not both.
I am gonna check RJ's and see what kind of tethers they got... if they're like $10 i'll probably just get one of those.
Are you gonna trailer or ride up?

Lemmie know if you end up going. I won't be running but I'll shoot on over to watch you guys and take some pics since I live fairly close by.

Brent let me know what they have @ RJ's. If it's $10 I might have you grab one for me! Are these the ones set up for jet ski's? As long as I can drill and tap a screw into the small ignition button to connect this, that will work, and look professional!
Brian! It would be cool to have a photographer there!![]()

I would love to put my race bike on the strip, great practice for the holeshots, but I think Jay looked into it and there are restrictions that I can't put my race bike on the strip on a wed night.

My friend Todd is going this saturday with his R1 8/6/05
I think he's looking for a high 9 in the 138mph range with a pretty much stock 98 R1, he's done close to that on the bike a couple years ago![]()
Yamaha
They also do open street night on Fridays too.
I have a friend that works there and she said if you guys do it on a Friday, she can get me a photo pass and I can take pics from the start line...
Oh yeah and by the way she is hot too...and single???
But bad news is that you will probably only meet her if you crash.![]()
Just a thought???? Not about crashing but about Friday vs Wed.![]()

Mike are you planning to ride up or trailer.
How far is this place?
I'll be riding up, I'll have to ask my Cousin as to how far and how long it would take to ride? I am not sure?

Keep me posted, Im hoping to be free that eve and can meet up for the trip out.
if i get my usual wednesday off that week i will go, probably not run unless i grow some nuts by then but i doubt it. maybe i'll bring my car and see what that can do with 400lbs of stereo in the trunk.... either way i will bring my video camera and get some video of whatever runs you all make. btw the dragway is about 10 mins off of exit 7 on rt 101 in new hampshire, city = Epping. $10 to watch, $17 to race.... as far as i remember. anyone want to meet up and ride before in NH somewhere?
I really want to go but I still need a tether and I need proper riding boots just in case. My feet seem to be a bitch to fit!
Either way, barring any bad weather, I should be up there!
Is riding up there just to watch recommended? NED's parking lot is dark, unpaved for the most part and muddy, swarming with a bunch of punk ass teenagers.
Half squid, The dragway is 10 minutes further than our house if that helps you judge time.

Are they sticklers about the leather jacket thing? I have an armored textile jacket. And what do you all do for a number plate?
Where did you buy it and how much did it set you back?Originally posted by oreo_n2

I've heard you can buy the numberplate at NE dragway for a few bucks. It just zip ties on.
I still don't have over the ankle leather boots so I'm pretty much fucked. I'm almost certain I'll be showing up though. Just not racing unfortunately.
No kill switch for me yet? If it's nice tomorrow I will ride in and seek the assistance of my buddy the machinist to help me rig a little hook and loop plate for my kill switch. I'll have to drill and tap into the plastic button I have and find some hardware to mate to it and just use a safety wire or small cable line and clips to attatch to my gloves, or jacket..
Should be something quick and easy.
The weather is looking good and the rules are not that bad!
I have all the riding gear, & I am pretty damn sure the whole number plate thing is not for street legal nights, only for the weekend sponcered events? If it is a new rules, it's![]()
Bill, what size boot are you? I wear a 13 and can bring my other set for you to use. They are the Sidi Vertibra's. Not comfy to walk around in, but they'll let you run! & You will need the teather for your 12!!!!
