NE Dragway Wednesday Night 8/17?

Depending on what goes on with my new truck tonight? I may be available tomorrow night... Plate is still on also! most likely that will not work out, but next friday can be arrainged!

Tomorrow is a no-go for me as I'll be tearing up the Berkshires. I'm almost certain I can go next Friday though!

10.99 or faster is the requirement for a tether and it is a lot harder to do than I expected. I would be more concerned about the 120 mph or faster tether requirement. If you think you can reach that speed put one on otherwise they will not let you race after going that fast without one.

Also, wear your leather jacket instead of the textile one. I think you are only allowed to run with leather jackets.

Bill - I saw some guys running with textile jackets.. so they might be a bit lenient with the rules.

Ben - I'm pretty sure it took me an hour to get to Epping from Waltham. I hit some traffic on 95 on the way up, too.

i just wanted to say that MR. Half Squid is 0-2 against the SV so i guess that makes me the .65 liter RC eater
12.4 was the best i could muster out of the SV but i was consistant 12.5s all night. all within a .010 of each other. good fun. i was on my race bike so if you have DOTs on your race bike you can run up there but once the sun goes down you gotta have some kind of taillight( igot yelled at) and then the usual rules under 10 sec or 120+mph must have tether and leather pants. the pants arent a big deal to us usually, oh and you need a chain guard too.

The fishing line worked perfectly. The tech guy didn't question the commercial tethers, but when he saw mine he made me demonstrate that it worked which wasn't a problem since I tried it multiple times before I went up there.

Oreo... You didn't have much luck in the bikes you had to run against. I know you had to run against my 12R but the photos show that you also got a hayabusa and a stretched and lowered bike. How did you become so lucky?

If you go by dragway rules the time determines the winner. If the times are equal then its the reaction times. I have a rule book, if anyone wants to look at it. It also explains all the little things that need to be done to run. Might help for next time when you have to deal with the Tech guys..

yea i got stuck lining up against ALL of the stretched super fast guys until i got to line up with Bill and Mike... got my butt handed to me a bunch of times.

oh and mikey... i was just giving you a head start so you'd have a chance, i still almost got ya, just gave ya a little too much of a lead.
