NESR Spring Campout Date Poll and Head Count

Assuming the campground I mentioned in the other thread is ok with everyone, please vote on the best weekend to fit your schedule.

Also, add your name to the list and mark with tent, rv or rental next to it for the head count.

Ive got to start getting busy with the planning on this.

The rental I am getting only has one spot left, and is taken if KillBill wants it, but I havent heard back from him just yet.

But there are other rental unit right next to mine so you could get one of those and maybe get a coupla roomies to help with the cost?

Ok, going to try to pick this up where it was left off.

NESR Spring Campout

When: Check in May 18, 2007, time to be determined. Check out Sunday, May 20 by 11ish. Everyone will have to meet me at the campground office for check in, etc. on Friday night.

Where: Natural High RV Resort, Lebanon, ME just on the other side of the NH border near Rochester. About a 2 hour ride for you Boston area folks.

What: Coupla days of camping, drinking, campfires, BBQ's,etc. Sand pits adjacent to campground for your dirtbike riding needs, decent roads nearby for streetbike rides.

RV sites, rental units and tent sites available

Cost: to be determined and is strongly dependent on the turnout. Deposits not necessary but a strong commitment is as I will be responsible for the payment on all reserved sites upon check in. This is why I have asked that everyone meet with me at the office on Friday night. We may even designate a ballpark time to make it easier for me and the folks in the office. I dont expect this to be a wallet busting experience as I receive discounts at this campground just because of who I am, but the final cost will be determined by how many ways it is split amongst us.

Below is a list of those who have confirmed they will be there. There were many other folks who expressed interest in the original thread, but have yet to post up here. I am hoping that they will do so now.

I can not express this enough. I *really* need confirmations of numbers of people and accomodations required so when you add your name to list please indicate whether you need an RV site with hookups, tent site with water and electricity or if you would like to be included in one of the rental RV sites. The first rental that I will be in is full but there are others right next to it for others who want to roomie together, etc.

As a side note, I would really like to see this become a community effort with food, brew and the like. The costs for the sites will be really low and if we can all pitch in and bring something, etc. and take care of each other it would be great Maybe we can get a list together on who wants to bring what, etc. later on.

All of the above, whatever we need. All depends on what people want. Going to try to get the best setup we can so that we can all have sites next to each other, even if some bring RVs, some bring tents, some want rentals, etc. Thats why its so important to know what everyone is going to be needing.

Just received word from the campground owner that due to the floods, etc. he is not even sure if the place is going to be able to open this season.

The one and only road in to the campground was completely washed out and the campground itself sustained heavy damage. They are not sure when things are expected to be repaired but are questioning being able to open the place this season.

I will keep the thread updated as much as possible when I hear any news.

The road in to the campground will take about another 3 weeks to repair, so this kills the date we had originally planned to do this but if all goes well, we should be able to do it later in the season.

As of the date of this post, the park is open for seasonal campers and members only until which point they can finish the repairs to the place. I have an email in to the owner so as soon as it opens to the general public again, I will know and we can plan from there.
