Is the whole state of NH unrideable?

Irene seems to have smeared the VT and NH maps with particular focus on the twisty roads. A buddy who is a first responder in the Lebanon, NH area said the place has been decimated. When I asked about the White Mountains he said the Kanc was washed out too.

So, is there any place left for a fast ride? Assuming we base camp in either Lebanon, NH or No Conway.

I heard it was washed out at least on the Lincoln side, but since the river runs along the road on the Conway side, I'm guessing that is fubar too. We're heading up for a recon ride on Saturday and I'll post back then. Got my fingers crossed.

Lebanon was hit pretty hard, as were the neighboring areas in VT. I have quite a few friends and family members up that way and they are still recovering. Unfortunately, the best roads are usually the ones built on mountains or near rivers, which seem to attract bad weather damage (much like tornadoes and trailer parks).

I'll bet you can find decent roads on the east part of the state.
