Man I wouldn't have minded meeting up with someone yesterday.
I ended up doing errands in the morning and hopping on my bike around noon. I went and rode about 50 miles or so and then met up with my dad. (He has a Virago 1100)
Usually my dad is cool to ride with. He won't do anything stupid but he isn't really into "cruising", he likes to go ride the backroads and let's just say his pegs are all scraped up. But he decides we should go see if his friend with a Harley wants to come.
I kind of suspected it, but didn't know for sure, but talk about total POSER! The guy gives us a hard time about our jap bikes and then agrees to come. I led the way and my dad took up the rear, his friend has probably less than 1000 miles on his Sportster, but it's already been totally worked over, so we put him in the middle.
So the guy is riding at like bicycle speed. I keep having to pull over to wait for them to catch up. Then he turns around after about 5 miles. We had to go through a rotary and he just kept going and went home.
It took us so long to go those 5 miles we didn't end up making it up to NH to hit some fun roads. At least we did get to run Rt. 40.
It was still a fun day though. I ended up cruising up and down main street a couple times last night but there weren't really any bikes out.
