Not Germany's Nürburgring, Iceland's Ring Road. We're planning a trip next summer and would appreciate advice from those who have been there - especially on a bike. It's 900 miles around Iceland, and we originally planned for 3 days but that's probably rushing it.
For those who have been, what is "can't miss" in Iceland?

Three days is beyond rushing it. There will be lots of gravel riding and the locals are kind of nuts, so plan and ride according. I would try to get to the WestFjords of you can. It's way out there, but I'm really glad we did it. You'll miss a lot if you just stick to the ring road.
There used to be a fantastic google map of all of the waterfalls (there are many) with links to pics and descriptions. Looks like the link I have from a couple of years ago is broken, but it would be worth digging for. Haifoss and Skogafoss were my favorites.

Thanks - I knew you'd been and was hoping you'd reply. I'm not sure we can extend the trip so we may rent a car and only check out part of the country instead. That gravel road looks like it'd be greasy in the rain. I've got months to plan, so I'll figure something out.

My wife and I did the Ring Road a couple years ago. In rental but I'd definitely do this on a bike...! Iceland is awesome. If you get a chance, take a plane from Akureyri to Grimsy Island and walk across the Arctic Circle...
I think I have an itierary somewhere...
