Jen and I will be there making our usual "guest" appearance.. and looking to take on anyone willing to travel to the Weirs for a dyno drag race! Oh did I mention I now have a second rear rim with a SPARE tire to play with.. hmmmmm may have to try out "the BOARD"

I only got yo ride about 40 miles saturday, I had a bunch of errands that required a cage today I'm goanna check out the Kanc ride route, I may alter it, if frost heaves on the planned route are like some of the roudes closer to home.

I heard rumor that there is going to be a bikes only day at the mountain this year.

The 'bikes only' day is Thursday, which will make our ride up it on Friday that much nicer. I'm betting that there won't be as much traffic Friday thanks to the 'bikes only' thing the day before. At least maybe this time we won't get stuck behind those Hardley's again!!!

Looks like i'll have to pass on the ride up rock pile this year, i don't think i can get myself to take the Dubya up those dirt sections I could go for the ride there and just wait at the base? Or i could just hang at the crib and consume all day?

That's a fuckin' joke. For YEARS they've pissed and moaned about the whole event, and have MANY times talked about NOT allowing it in Laconia, which includes Weirs Beach. During the 'recession' in the late 80's / early 90's, they realized that they were able to pull themselves out of the hole, financially as a municipality, and have been trying to make money off it ever since...

Chirst!!! All the local papers up here talk about is how much money the whole event pulls in to the local economies. This a case of someone gettin' a taste for the riches and wanting more. They're not happy with the MILLIONS of dollars this brings to the area anymore, and now they want people to put REDICULOUS stickers on their pride & joys?

Gimme a break. The fat get fatter, I suppose....

the way I look at it, is I've never "parked" anywhere, my personal trips to the weirs, I have stayed on the street in the parade, and got my fill of the sights while "riding" thru. sure. a few people park on the streets, but most park on private property, I don't see a sticker making the city very much money, and mostly pissing a lot of people off.

But most property owners charge a lot of people to park on their property. It seems the fat-cats from the city are realizing that and just want a piece of the action...
