VT rt 9 or MA rt 2?

Headed back from americade in the morning. Should I go through VT (rt 9 maybe?) or MA on rt 2? I'd like some nice roads and maybe a mountain or two to ride up.

Rt9 is far better for the entire duration. Rt2 only has a few worthwhile sections, heavily patrolled.

Do MA-2 and some VT-9. Start with MA-2, then go north on 112 and 100, and finish with VT-9.

Take rt 9 as far as you can if you are not in a rush.

Take 9 out of Bennington To Rt8 south towards rt 100 south. Dumps You in north Adams. Pick up Rt2 over the Mohawk and then Rt 8a south on the other side. Take Rt 116 for some nice twisties towards Conway. Off that you hit I-91 north. Exit Rt2 again towards Boston.

do exactly what e30addict says, that's a great ride. Route 9 isn't as good going west-east.

So, I took e30addict's advice up to rt 116 then headed off onto leverett rd to 202, to 122, to 62, to 140 and then hopped on the pike for the last bit. Fantastic ride. Thanks guys.

rt 9 would be awesome if it didnt have so much traffic..
