I know we missed a few favorites some locals know but for out of towners who are looking for two day ride that doesn't go straight for very long, this ride was an 800 mile blast.![]()
Are you shitting me?
I know most of you are more interested in the route than what was along the way but if there are any alternate energy buffs out there, let me just say that the wind farm was like nothing I have ever seen before in my life. Here are some shots from the Tug Hill website.
The size of a single rotor
A small segment of them fitting in camera lens
Toss is some farm houses and barns for size reference
Now imagine hundreds of them in every direction that you look, all the way to the horizons. Combine that with the fact that they all spin at an eerie slow speed of 14 rpm and you have something that doesn't look like it belongs on this planet. Probably not coming to a neighborhood near you anytime soon.
Cool.... how's your ass?
yea baby...good shit...thanks for calling by the way, some of us would have HATED to do parts of that ride witcha!

We actually called Doc and tried to work something out with you VT riders. Unfortunately with a ride of this length, a tight daylight time schedule and phone conversations only every 3 hours at gas stops it's tough to coordinate.
Next time...but only if you leak some secret stash roads before hand.

what a way to finish off the season.is T rd as good as they say?
bet you i can do overnight next season.
"fuckit!"
was 125 worth the effort? it got washed out earlier, but with the sucky condition of the pavement, I wouldn't even bother before it got washed out. I'm gonna guess this crooked cheap state didn't repave the entire thing either.
and no, t******* isn't as good as they say. stick to the clover leafs
and +1 on thanks for the heads up
You guys were out in my stompin grounds...hell you weren't too far from where I live.
Glad you had a good safe ride tho![]()
I wish my back could hold up to such a long ride...that looks like a sweet trip. How many miles?
125 was washed out here and there (on the eastern side?) but I needed two ways through the Green Mountains to make it a route. I heard they added more tar through Lincoln Gap but still dirt. 125 and 73 seemed to be my best choice.
No, T**** Rd. wasn't any fun. Neither was E****** P*** Rd. or CR26
800 planned, 850 all said and done.
Nice trip Cheese! I've done most of them roads on my 2/3 day trips. Shit....my last one into Adirondacks was 1k miles exactly in 2.5 days. I didn't even get tired.I guess I'm getting used to long rides on a sport bike
