OK time to post up for first ride of the year. I am looking at Saturday April 14the if the weather is decent.
Start out in the Wilton or Jaffery area (depending on interest) and then head to VT on 119 to Brattlebrough and then 9 and then 100 and then where ever.
Hopefully the salt will be washed off...

I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
I am going to combine this with a ride from Sport touring net.
Here is the post from STN
In 2005 we did a Meet & Greet where about 50 ST.N'ers from all over the northeast met in Waterbury, Conn. and did a short ride up to Great Barrington, Mass. for lunch. It was a nice way to meet some new people, check out the new bikes and farkles and get a little riding in early in the season. You can read about that ride and see some videos HERE. (Can't believe it's already been two years.)
We tried the ride again last year but the weather never cooperated.
Is there any interest in doing it again? The basic plan is this: we group up in our respective areas (eastern NY, Mass., Conn/RI) and meet in a central location, like Waterbury. We then leave and ride at our own pace(s) up to another location about an hour away, have lunch, then meet again and go our separate ways to ride home. It worked pretty well in 2005, the roads were in pretty good shape and there were no accidents or injuries. People came from as far away as Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.
I was talking to Leebo and he is organizing a group ride in New Hampshire on Saturday, April 14 and would be interested in meeting the group in Great Barrington. For sake of simplicity and convenience I would say we could meet in Waterbury and ride up to Great Barrington again. The only thing is that the Bradlees we used to stage the ride in 2005 is no longer there. We'd have to find a new location.
This would be the weekend before the Meet & Eat and would be good for those of us who can't travel too far from home.
Post up if you're interested.

If the weather is good, and the roads are clear, I may join you folks, if i'm invited..
Hey Lee,
Provided the roads are clean and the ride happens, I'm in!!!

Im interested as well since this would be a nice first long ride of the season for me. Hopefully this weekend will melt everthing away so that I can bring my bike home.

it is time to ride B!TCHEZ !
We'll be heading to Great Barrington to meet up, prolly stop at Four Brothers Pizza Inn for lunch. Still got some snow melt going on here in W. Mass., but it should be clear by then. BIG ass ice flows across the road this AM.

I will be planning on doing this ride. Looking forward to it. WOOT WOOT
AS of this mornings weather forcast I would say the ride next Saturday is looking good. Of course this being New England that is subject to fast and harsh change.
Meeting spot is Citgo gas station at the intersection of 119 and 202 at 9 am and head to Great Barrington from there.

Excellent...
That Citgo station is like 3 minutes from my house. Assuming the weather cooperates, and I'm back from Vegas in time I'll be there...
I'm in. Looking forward to it.
