    Group Ride July 22nd

    Pretty bummed about the weather. It was actually dry when I got up at 7:00 here in Blackstone, but the weather forecast was saying 3/4 "- 1" of rain for Western MA, so I decided against it.

    I won't be able to make it next week either as it's an "on" week with my son. I will be in Chicopee on Friday and Sunday picking him up and dropping him off, and that's as close as I'll end up.


    Well, I got to do a really good cleaning on the bike with my spare time today. Not much else to do with this crappy, sticky weather.

    Group Ride July 22nd

    I went riding, we did some of the route. I did about 220 miles, I'd say 163.7 of which were in absolute pouring rain. I'm soaked to the bone, still had some fun though.

    Was kind of a frustrating day with the traffic and weather, but what are ya gonna do? I needed to break my new pants in for the track day one way or another.

    Just found out I have a family dinner/bbq to go to, so wont be making it V, sorry about that, maybe next weekend though.

    The ride was fun although the fun did start to wash away after 3:30 or so. At that point the water started soaking into places it just shouldn't have gone.

    With our tails tucked between our legs we slabbed back to Springfield. That's when the fun really started as MissTwisties had tons of food and drinks for all the people that signed up then stiffed her. We didn't dent the food she had but we tried hard to drink all your shares of alcohol.

    Thanks MissTwisties! I had a blast meeting new riders then later finding out they know how to enjoy more than a few cocktails! Lots of laughs.

    Group Ride July 22nd

    Ok....I'm awake, I cleaned up, and I'm a little bit more sober now (altho my head is still spinning a little...lol)

    We started the ride a little bit later, passed 10am. We were 7 bikes. It was drizzling when we left the meeting point. Then it started to rain as we moved. No big deal it seemed, no one complained, we all wanted to ride! I have to admit, even tho it rained most of the ride, it was still fun, and definitly a different experience to say the least. On route 112 as we took a turn at an intersection, I saw Michelle low side in my mirror, as she got a patch of wet sand that we couldn't see on the ground. I went running to her, she was alright and not hurt, the bike was OK, but we had a little bit of a hard time to re-start it. She finally hop back on it and we kept going. We did most of the morning ride in light rain, we got to Pittsfield and had lunch at Applebee's. Nice welcomed break if you ask me...lol We got back on the road and hit route 2 (Taconic Trail) going into NY...GOD that road is WICKED AWSOME. Unfreakinbelievable. It's just a shame that we did most of it in a mostly complete fog and couldn't see too much of the beautiful scenery surrounding us...we are DEFINITLY going back very soon to ride that road!! As we came back and hit route 2 East (Mohawk Trail) the skies opened up on us and we did the whole ride under heavier rain. We stopped in Sherlburne Falls to look at the glacial potholes...pretty amazing stuff. We looked like a small bunch of psychos riding under the pouring rain and laughing our asses off...LOL We were tired, and SOAKED wet, so we decided to slab the rest back home on I-91. Most people bailed out on the party, but we had a small group of 8 people here including a few single hotties, most of us had way too much to drink, and we had an AWSOME time, good laughs, good jokes and extra nice people! Oh and the food was sooo yummy!!!

    Here's the pics I took, they don't give any justice to the scenery tho...you have to actually be there to fully enjoy it. I completly forgot to take pics of the party... Only when it was passed 3 a.m. and we were wasted...
