Today I treated myself to a solid 200 miles of riding. It was an awesome day to say the least. I did a loop up into NH crossing over into VT and then back down into Mass. Figured if anyone cared I'd give a little rundown on the road conditions of where I traveled today.

Rt. 101 Keene, NH to Peterborough, NH - Its 101, if you manage to not get hit by a car, you're doing pretty good. Still some frost heaved sections and general shittiness.

Rt. 123 Peterborough, NH to Alstead, NH -
Absolutely horrid. The stretch between 101 and 137 was badly crowned in the center of each lane and the road was pretty much split right up the middle. 137 to 9 wasnt too bad, still alot of frost heaves and road cracks, alot of sand around the stretch by Island Pond. 9 to 10 was an absolute nightmare, I wouldnt take a car down that stretch of road. It was so frost heaved I didnt sit on the bike for nearly the entire stretch, and I topped out at maybe 20mph. It was so bad in fact that I overtook and passed a truck on the road, as he was going even slower than I was, they even pulled over for me, how sweet. Junction with 10 to 12A was pretty nice, started out kinda yucky, still some frost heaves and some sand, but then you get into the newly paved section near the washouts in Alstead and its great, a little bit of loose sand and gravel here and there, but keep your head up and you'll be fine.

Rt. 12A Alstead, NH to Keene, NH -
Not bad, still some frost heaves here and there, but manageable, first time down this stretch, its actually a pretty decent riding road in parts.

Rt. 63 Westmoreland, NH to Chesterfield, NH
Pretty smooth. Almost totally sand free, again, sporadic frost heaves, but pretty much ready to ride.

Rt. 9 Chesterfield, NH to Searsburg, VT
Ready to go. My first time riding it uphill. Fun ride from Brattleboro to Hogback Mt.

Rt. 100 Readsboro, VT to Jacksonville, VT
Its 100 in the spring. Its frost heaved to hell, pretty much what you'd expect.

Rt. 112 Jacksonville, VT to Colrain, MA
Very few remaining frost heaves, no sand, ready to go. One of my favorite roads locally.

There ya have it. 200 miles today, was perfect weather. My legs are in agony, but its worth however sore I will be tomorrow.

Also, I had no idea the damage done by that flood in Alstead, NH last October. The pictures on the net and what I saw on the news just doesnt compare to the damage in person. I cannot even imagine what it looked like directly after the floods. Pretty astounding.
