I'd like to get an after holiday thing together to go see Purge DI. They're taking a coupla weeks off for the holidays, but otherwise they've been working on new material and a new CD. I was lucky enough not too long ago to catch a listen to a coupla their new tunes and I gotta tell ya'll, they've taken it to another level with the new stuff...
Anyway, I'd like to catch 'em somewhere kinda neutral to us all so we can get a decent group of us going. They'll be updating their schedule just after the holidays, so I'll keep an eye on it and letchya know when they let me know...
I've also talked to 'em about playing an NESR 'winter party' sorta thang. I'm tossing around the idea of renting a place just outside of Manchester, NH and having them play for us. I've already talked to Jay & Bob from the band and they both seemed excited about it...
My original thought is to do it early evening to somewhere around 11:00 or so. I'll look into hotel rooms and the such and supply everyone with directions to the hall, to & from the hotels, etc. We'll probably ask for a small cover charge to help defray the cost of the band and the food. It'll be a BYOB event though. What's everyone's feelings on this? Serious inquiries only please...
