You should load your gixxer up and head south, meeting location at Mt Misery Camp area in Ct. Kickstands up at 9am

well, maybe i can attempt to keep up to a Bean ride this year. I was very inexperienced on fast roads like that & it was my 1st trip to the bean.

The reason I said you'd be pissed if you showed up was because it's not exactly a street ride, has nothing to do with keeping up

Great way to top off a 600+ mile weekend.

So i'm at the mobil gassing up to ride home (on the bike, BlackSquirrel!) when some goofy guy wearing some Civil War cavalry hat approaches me.

him: "how big is that motor"
me: "600"
him: "how much does it weigh"
me: "about 450 with fluids"
him: "oh, so it must not be fast then"
me: "well, define fast"
him: "ya know, do a 1/4 mile in 11 seconds"

then he proceeds to tell me how he's got a Valkrie that weighs the same, but has a bigger motor. I inform him that it's been geared, tuned, etc and is a quick bike. Then he proceeds to tell me that "well corners scare the shit outta me." While i'm literally laughing under my helmet, he asks what HP numbers i got from the dyno. Told him 106 in 4th gear, then he says that it is a fast bike for a 2cyl. When i politely inform him that these bikes are inline 4's, he said something like "whoa, those are fast".

I pulled out of the station after filling up, then pulled a Krazy Kham around the offramp.
