Just trying to figure out if there is a good route to take for a noob. Been practicing a lot, but find that there's not many roads that will let me actually practice some of these turns.
Obviously I'm not talking about pushing hard, but to get to know more of the bike. I'm happy enough with the stop and go traffic around here.. but looking for more twisties.
I went to some backroads that I was somewhat famliar with today, and it wasn't too bad, but really not enough. This is around 126 in framingham/natick. My friend and I went (both noobs and got our license together this summer).
Any ideas would be appreciated! I don't want to slow the pace for any other rides.. and not sure if I can handle it quite yet.
Rt 117 from Waltham past 495 is easy and fun, not a whole lotta scary intersections.
When you get bored with that, try 62 and 119. Should keep you busy for the rest of the season.

To stretch it out a little, keep going west on 62 to Barre MA, then you have good choices, like go north on 32 to 2A, gas up in Athol, east again on 2A/2, south on 140, east on 62 ...

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Barre might be starting to push my distances.. we'll see. So far the most I've gone in one stretch without stops is around 60 miles. I'll slowly increase my distance hopefully before the end of this season!I'm starting to feel really good about my own riding and awareness... I'm all geared up now, just want to feel a little more confident on the turns like I said... still can't believe how well the bike turns, but when I see the road having a little junk on it, it makes me worry so much.. but the bike just takes that turn without a problem or skidding.
I suppose I'm just not used to the big fat bike tires being able to keep me on the road!![]()
I have no idea where you live so take this with a grain of salt. 119west here's a map of a ride I did last year.http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...555e15a175&z=9 13 north out of Pepperell... here's another idea This one is out of Milford NH. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...2,1.689148&z=9 or here..http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...a72d4558cf&z=9 These are all one way.. you can retrace or create a new ride home...

I live out in Natick.. but this is exactly what I need.. the maps aren't too far off and I can make it to there! Excellent info guys, thanks a ton!
Rt 27 South to Walpole is really nice, and north to 117. That road alone should keep you busy and then you can try heading in either direction on 117.
Also try exploring interesting forks and branches off 27. I went through there on Sunday and really enjoyed it.

ride up and down dutton rd in sudbury a few times until you get a clear run at it without any traffic, also check out babe ruths house and the pond he chunked the piano in.
google map dover and sherborn, there are certainly some windy back roads around there.
mainly, get out exploring, try to get lost and find your way back. itll show you plenty of local roads you never knew were there.
nine times out of ten its an electric razor, but...every once in a while...its a dildo. of course its company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo, we have to use the indefinite article "a" dildo ...and not..."your"...dildo...
and route 2 when traffic stops...well...maybe stay away from route 2 altogether

117 is a nice easy ride, nothing to aggressive and stays fairly quiet
s of short windy side roads to check out off of 117 especially though sudbury, just be careful as they are residential neighborhoods.

117 is great, but can become crowded during commuter hours on weekdays, otherwise, a very nice ride that connects to other nice roads.

Took this route all the way out to the new Legacy Place mall in Dedham, ran back down rt 1, then up around to 135 back home to Natick to catch the Pats game.. a good 2.5 hr trip with my noob friend.
Beautiful scenery and nice roads! Still need sharper turns to practice my own riding... really comfortable right now zipping around the nice routes laid out! Will shoot for the other routes next week!
almost any exit off 495 will have a cloverleaf.....round and round it goes....

Hehe zoom zoom.. cloverleaf here I come! Too bad tomorrow I'm heading out that way with my car.. have to do work on someone's car and I need the tools. Today I headed out with a small tool kit, and it wouldn't fit anywhere except in a backpack... boo!
