I'm planning to be there, though I may be close by the time I get home, clean up a bit, walk to the dog, feed the bees, etc

No worries. I'm tinking for the first few meets we just do some bench racing and tire kicking. I'm just now starting to learn the area roads and need the intel from you guys anyways.

So does that mean you're not planning on an actual ride tonight? just asking as I was going to try and slip out of work early to be there for 5, but if your not riding & going to be hanging out for a while I'll just swing by a bit later and see if you're still there.

First all female riding club in the state of RI "ICED ELEMENTS" is having a celabration party on the 28th in cranston, tickets are 15 bucks. One of the them has a RC51 if ya wanna go let me know

Also I will keep an eye out on the thread, I am just over the boarder in MA off rt146 so I can most likely meet up for some of these rides.

I've heard there are some very good roads in Rhode Island.....the ones that lead out of it!

Jut kidding, it's an old joke from my SRNE days. I know they did take some of the best rollercoaster sections out of RT14 over near the CT border.

That was 14A in Ct, the section from rt 49 to I-395...used to be one of the funnest, most dangerous roads in the area
There are actually a lot of great roads in the area, they just don't go on and on like the roads in western mass, or up north.

Busy weekend for me (dog and yard work) but I do plan to get in some type of ride

My bike is medium loud, not enough to get ticketed. They know me/the bike though. :-(

About a week ago i had quite a run in with the Narragansett PD. I was out by myself at night (no traffic) enjoying a back road and got clocked by a hidden cop going WAY too fast. I never even saw him. He called me in and they had a few more cops waiting a few miles down the road and setup a little makeshift road block after a blind curve and i ran right into it.

The first cop told me they were going to impound the bike and were deciding what criminal charges i'd face, but after the captain showed up i was able to talk to them a bit and got off with just a ticket. Needless to say i hate riding in Narragansett now because a few of the cops would love to grab me for anything. Luckily i'm moving May 31st anyway.

Not that i'm trying to go for that style ride today, lol. This was by myself, at night with no traffic.

Just got back from riding some of the south county coast roads.

It was completely pointless, way too much traffic.

gonna try to get out for a quick loop along the RI/CT border around 5:30-6:00, probably 1-1.5 hours, I'll check back before I head out.

I see bunch of bikes on Thayer St (Providence) every night. Any of you there ?

Hopefully not. The riders that hang out on Thayer are not actually enthusiasts, but kids/grown men who just stand around their bikes all night and cat call to all the females walking by.

Is anyone riding today after work? I'm riding the bike to work and if noone is around will be making a loop through narragansett then up some back roads to 102 and around the scituate reservoir I think.
