Apologies on the short notice...
Open invite to meet at Ponemah Bog in Amherst, NH between 9:30a and 10a today, Aug 15 then make the ride up to the Mt Washington Auto Rd.
Might also check out HMR after the auto road.
This will be a briskly paced pleasure ride taking 125 to 16 to 302 on the way up.
Way back is mostly TBD but thinking 25 to 106 down the west side of Winni.
I'll be on an Ardent Red 2018 Goldwing with Mrs B. Please feel free to join us.
If you are new to this group, read the stickies in this section, moreso the one regarding The Pace.
Hmmm. I don't have much interest in riding to Amherst to ride back though our back yard, but if there were a meeting spot somewhere near us between 10:30 and 11:00 I'd be down.
I would also be, probably, 2 up on a Goldwing (well, certainly on a Goldwing, probably 2 up).
DD's at the Epsom roundabout?
The trip to the bog is more for Mrs B as she's not seen it.
I lost your contact info, Jason. If you have mine still, mssg me. If not, my number is in my user profile.
Circle Restaurant for breakfast then we're off and running
Shit! I might have been down for this!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
There's still time.
Had an extended make out session with my wife so new meeting time at DD's is noon.
Not I. Made plans with the midgets.

I saw this 12 hours too late. Shit Paul...id have loved to do this. I'll have to start checking here more often!

How was the ride?
Planning on attempting a ride before jay/Oreo/clay ban me.
Southern NH, 111ish, out to the coast 108/107, back through Raymond Deerfield hooksett.
Anyone around down to go next weekend?
According to my wife this was us...
I'm pretty sure we were much faster. Lol.
Thanks Paul. Wifey and I had a great time!
We also had a great day with you guys and it was good to see you again as well as meet the Mrs. Thank you for joining.
Other than trying to gobble up those two cars on the way home, I felt the day was a 4 out of 10 as far as our overall pace went. I'll make the next one a 7 and see what her riding notes look like. I hear those new Goldwings have traction control......
The day in itself offered perfect riding weather in all regards, IMO. Scattered light misting most of the ride up and plenty of cloud cover all day to keep things cool while enjoying Conway's traffic scene.
It was my first trip to the summit of Mt Washington and it was stunning with the available views as well as the ever-changing cloud cover. Sometimes it looked and felt like the only thing that existed was the top of that mountain. Everything would be blocked by cloud cover one minute only to open up to miles of unobstructed viewing the next minute.
Another highlight (for me anyway) was crossing paths with someone I haven't seen in many years. An old friend and riding buddy just happens to pop out of the Irving gas station we took a break at so that was pretty cool, in a small world kind of way.
I will also say, this new version of the Goldwing is downright incredible. It rides 200 lbs lighter than it actually weighs and doesn't make a bunch of creaking noises over the bumps, like so many of the other fairing-type bikes I've ridden or other bikes I've ridden period.
Anyway, thanks again, Jason. Great day.
