Best part about the new KLR is the 6 gallon fuel tank you can ride 3/4 of that daily 400 miles on one tank of gas .
I "may" be interested we will see as it gets closer .

I am glad you guys heard about this. I am working hard at getting everything set up and making it a great event
Tuon0Mark, thanks for spreading the word
not so much Cannonball run. The object of Motomarathon is to ride as many twisties, peaks (notches), passes as possible in a four day period. We will try to stay away from Interstates as much as possible!
Noodles thanks for letting me know about this thread.
There will be no off roading required on the route, BUT that does not mean you can't take a "short cut" to get to the next check point.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask them.
Also check out www.Motomarathon.com for more information on the whole concept of the event.

It is intended to be an individual event, but that does not mean you can't ride together!
That kind of sucks. For the rest of us who are not Road Racers and simply track day junkies....
You are still welcomed!
We will be riding through VT. In fact about 300 miles will be riden there. Why not just join us for this one?
Here are some further clarification:
1. Right now we have only check via snail mail, made out to Metzger Associates, as the method of payment. If people want to join now, they will be members through the end of 2010. There will probably be an entry fee for the NE Motomarathon, but will likely be $75, plus the membership fee for a total of $100. Participants may pay on the morning of the event or the night prior during the riders meeting.
2. Yes, people can sign up day of, on site, and we will have blank waivers available.
3. GPS are not prohibited and in fact are encouraged.
4. Right now we are talking with potential sponsors about locking the tentative dates of May 13 - May 16.
any other questions?
We are really encouraged by the amount of interest!![]()
