Looks like Keira and I will be heading there to check out the new location and have some fun at the same time. Demo rides on Royal Enfields (not my cup of tea, but who am i to turn down a ride on something different). Looks like a lot of fun to be had, and at one of the best used dealers i have ever visited.

Ooo.. I wouldn't mind demo'ing an Enfield.
I probably would, but I'm working the pca event at the track this weekend. Should be a good weekend for their open house though.
We're thinking of hitting this on our way home from Concord, probably about noon-ish. I absolutely HATE the hoopla that normally goes along with these though...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?

Brian, if you haven't met Ryan yet, he works there and does a ton of "Silent" promoting for the trackIt's amazing how much info you can give someone when they are already listening.

Just thought I'd toss this out there for anybody looking for something to do on Saturday...

I just may be there...![]()
I'm probably going to pop by in the morning. I enjoy any chance for a demo ride.

Which triumphs for demo? Anything with the 1050?
Might ride my project bike over if I can finish getting it put together tonight

If the weather holds, I'll be there, as I'm planing a full day ride up through NH tomorrow.
Can't mis me, gigantic black Gold Wing F6B with GIVI top case.
That was fun. I testrode an Royal Enfield (the olive drab military-looking one), took another ride on a Triumph 675 Street Triple, and tried out a Triumph Tiger 800. I'm going to write up my impressions of those, as well as the other recent testrides I've taken (Yamaha FZ-09, Yamaha FZ-07, and H-D V-Rod) and post them up.
I had never been to National Powersports before. I was impressed. In addition to the new Triumphs and Enfields, they had a warehouse of about 500 used bikes of all flavors, looking to be in good condition and reasonably priced. They put on a nice open house, with coffee and carbohydrates for breakfast, and then a British-themed lunch -- shepherd's pies, pasties, mash, etc.
Good time.

Place is impressive for sure! I never thought I'd see bubble and squeek at a motorcycle dealer!
The olive Royal Enfield was pretty neat to tool around, holy slow though. The Royal Enfield Continental GT was a POS. I couldn't wait to get off it.
It was nice to put a few more screen names to faces today too![]()

I was there from about 1:30 to 2:00, saw Phil's Ducati. The place is impressive, wasn't in a test ride mood, but liked looking at the inventory.
I'd love to know their turnover in units and by brand.
It vibrated like a cheap massage bed. I think it would turn you numb after a longer ride. You couldn't see anything in the mirrors because they shook so bad. It was extremely cramped and uncomfortable yet didn't really offer anything in return performance wise. My right foot kept banging into the case and you had to make it a point to actually get your foot on the rear brake; not natural at all.
It's beyond slow power wise and the bike just doesn't seem to have much purpose in life beyond nostalgia and looks. It was actually nice to switch over to the "classic" bike which is not really my type of bike, but fun to bop around on while they let me. I could appreciate the classic for what it was, the GT not so much.
The biggest eye opener for me was when the guy who rode it after me brought it back with one hell of an engine knock and into the shop it went.
In contrast, I rode up there on DR650 which has a bigger thumper and is on knobbies to boot. It's light years smoother and with only 10 hp more (maybe), it felt like a litre bike in comparison.
I expected more for something marketed as a cafe racer. So many other bikes I'd rather spend $6,000 on, especially if they have QC issues.

It's that time of year... if anybody is around tomorrow feel free to swing by, should be a good time. Last year we estimated 1500+ people through the door. Come hang!
