RIDE POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER 16TH DUE TO RAIN!!!!
What: A ride to benefit a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Where: The ride begins from various locations across the state of NH and ends at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, NH. Souhegan Valley Motorsports and the Mullin Family has graciously opted to sponsor this event and will be leading a group of riders out of their shop in Milford, NH.
When: October 2nd. Rain date of October 16th.
No really, what the hell is this?:
It's a kick a$$ highly populated ride which ends up at Gunstock resort for an afternoon of good food, great music and relaxation. Our close friends at Souhegan Valley Motorsports have yet again gone above and beyond and opted to open the shop on one of their few and far between days off in order to host and assist with sponsorship.
I don't even know what CF (cystic fibrosis) is.
Frankly, we didn't know what it was either until our now 4 year old son was diagnosed with it ~11 days after he was born. CF is easily described as the bodies inability to process salt; it's non contagious and genetic based. The result is thick mucus which blocks enzymes secreted by the pancreas resulting in decreased absorption by the intestines and ultimately malnourishment along with harboring bacteria in the lungs resulting in lung failure and eventually early death.
I don't know anyone with CF?:
Meet Josh; A 4 year old boy who doesn't know he has CF. He's addicted to motorcycles, glow in the dark swords, trains and annoying his older sister. He doesn't know he does an hour of breathing therapy every morning and night simply because he's lived with it since day 11 of his life; it's normal to him. He doesn't know he'll need a lung transplant or that he's only expected to live for 30 or so years..... and frankly, we don't want to be the ones to tell him any of this. He's a normal kid who's well versed in high five's, fist bumps and attempting to put a wrench on any bolt he discovers. Just check the video below!!

.....thank you. Here's hoping that through advances in medical technology that we'll never have to tell Josh what exactly CF is.
Questions? Concerns? Please ask.

I can't make the 2nd because I'll be with my son watching my wife run a marathon but if it goes to the rain date, you bet your life I'll be there.

Duffy and I are planning on being there. Any idea where a meetup point is in the Haverhill, MA/Plaistow, NH area? I didn't see them listed on the website. Thanks.
Appreciate that Degsy.I can't make the 2nd because I'll be with my son watching my wife run a marathon but if it goes to the rain date, you bet your life I'll be there.

Nice meeting you Fitz. Thanks to the Mullin family for the hospitality yesterday. I'm in for next year and will be happy to help with pulling in more NESR members for this great cause. Cheers to Joshua and to a cure for CF!

Ride went off without a hitch Pete. We had ~29 riders leaving from Souhegan Valley Motorsports. Plenty of coffee and donuts to go around. Temps were a tad brisk at pace but definitely bearable in jeans and a jacket. I'm not sure on the total money raised as there were people who stopped by and donated as well. I'm hoping that next year's ride happens a month or two earlier and doesn't conflict with a race weekend if at all possible. We gave you boys a salute as we drove by the track.![]()
NotSure; you came over and introduced yourself earlier in the morning before I had my coffee so I apologize for forgetting your name. Great looking ZX-14. Quite obviously meticulously cared for as well. Great meeting you.
Thanks to all who came out and either rode or donated. I'll post totals as soon as they're published.
