Well, being that I'm still at work, I'm thinking I'm not going to make it.
Warren Buffet writes one op-ed and my whole weekend goes to shit.
Sorry guys![]()

Thanks to Blue Eyes and Moto Freak for hosting a great event, especially the hot cider!!! Food was good. I wish I could have stayed longer but still had long ride to get home.
Thanks to everyone for a great ride and great afternoon! It was nice finally putting faces to names. Look forward to more rides with ya'll in the future!
Attached are some pictures from the top of 17 and after at the house. Enjoy!
"And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth, wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever...." James Dickey
Yup...awesome rides today!
We expected a few more people for the Short Ride, but some people decided to bail out!!!! Tsk Tsk.
It was def. a bit chilly, but worth it, especially with the coming forcast. We met up with Marks crew at 1:05, they were right on time, and then we had a great afternoon eating lots of tasty treats!!!!
Thanks for coming friends, it was great riding with you and hanging out. Especially those that came up from NH!
Thanks to BlueEyes for the hard work opening up the house!

Thanks for hosting the year end get together. We had fun.
We will have to plan some winter events to make it through till spring.
Shit, I missed the apple crisp!
Oh well. Sorry I had to jet so early. But it was great meeting the folks I hadn't met yet, and seeing the ones I had.
Thanks again, BlueEyes and MotoFreak, for hosting!
And I agree with SilverGhost, we need some winter events.

I had a good time
my Dad wants to know what everyone thinks of the new 4way and 3 way stops in Monkton, he went to a church supper in Bristol on saturday nite and the new stop signs were not very popular with some of the old folk that have been travelling those intersections for 60-70 years or more

Last time I took a vehicle out onto the ice (Lake Iroquois) I ended up smashing into another car. Before going out we were laughing about the ice fisherman freezing in their little shantys. We showed them! Two cars went out, one came back...
If I told you how many tractors I've taken "swimming" in the pond near my parent's place you'd call me a slow learner...
Maybe we can hook up with one of the SCCA outfits. They used to set up ice racing courses on Lake Iroquois and up by Sand Bar.

It's SCCV that runs the ice racing...http://www.sccv.org.
Of note, frozen waterways in the state of Vermont are apparently considered public highways from a law enforcement standpoint, so registration, insurance, licensing, etc apply, as does the by-default speed limit for unposted areas (50? 55? not sure off the top of my head).
On the original topic, thanks for hosting a great event. It managed to get me riding on a day when I thought it was awfully cold, which means I might just get a few more days in yet, even if I can see a snow-covered ski resort out my office window.
