So a few friends of mine are renting a house down there for a party weekend, and I'm riding the bike down.
I've never ridden around that area, or anywhere near the Cape.
Can anyone recommend a scenic/touristy route for a 2-up ride, or would be willing to lead me on a short tour of the cape area around lunchtime on Saturday, 7/17?
Try this.... From Mashpee take rt.28 to Falmouth. When you enter East Falmouth you will come to a set of lights with a CVS on your left...package store and motel on your right... gas station across light on right...bank across light on left.... Take a left at this set of lights and go to the end of that road and take a right at the stop sign. This road will end at a stop sign and you will take a left ... This road will take you along the coast with some great beaches and views of Marthas Vineyard. You will end up in Woods Hole where you can jump on a boat to Marths Vineyard or Nantucket.
Prepare yourself for traffic.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle
cool, thanks for the response guys
it looks like this will just be a drinking weekend...my friends are boring
I'll come down on another weekend myself on the bike to check things out
wow....geez, I wish I brought my bike!
the town and adjacent areas just seemed like it would be fun to just ride around and some of the roads near bodies of water were a little windy...plus it seemed like a convertible/cruise on bike sort of area
Come down in October. There are some good roads, they just can't be ripped this time of year.

bs! you just have to know where to look
Born and raised in falmouth and i ride down there every summer at least 10 times. some of the "off the beaten path" stuff is awesome and it is too out of the way for the touristy types to find. no traffic, great vistas.
If you look at the photo below you can see one of the roads i am talking about. There is rarely people down there (except for the one marathon pictured, which occurs annually) because it is all private beach and the road is twisty as hell! bonus, i have never seen a police officer there in my entire life!
