As anyone who was there can attest... yesterday's weather SUCKED! It's one thing to have rain... but that was ridiculous.
I did my best to get as many "sessions" in as possible before the rain hit, but I still went home feeling crappy.
As I've repeated at all of our days this year, attendance was way down this year. I was really hoping for a decent day yesterday with a lot of "walk on" entries. Instead, the weather sucked and not one person paid at the track.
I am working on a variety of ways to increase attendance next year, such as printable flyers from the website, business cards to hand out, PAYPAL payment option, etc.
Stay tuned for more on that toward the beginning of the year when I have the dates set.
As for those that PAID for yesterday's TRACK DAY, I will knock $50 off of THE FIRST TRACK DAY next year (so the price is $150).
It has to be the FIRST day because it's already going to be a logistical nightmare dealing with this. By limiting it to the first day, I don't have to worry about carrying stuff over to later days next year.
If you can't attend the first day, I'm sure someone will buy your spot... especially if they miss the $200 price deadline! :-)
I hope this helps and THANK YOU to all that did attend this year.
Also, please feel free to post comments and suggestions here or to email me direct. tony@samnet.net
One of the best ideas for this year was to ride through lunch. That came from one of you guys and is such a simple idea that I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.
Thanks again and see you all next year... or maybe on a street ride this fall.

I believe trackday attendance has been lower over the country. I have recently seen trackday ads in Motorcyclist and Motorcycle.com to persuade more riders. As I've repeated at all of our days this year, attendance was way down this year. The economy is in rough shape and some riders don't have the plush well-paying jobs they enjoyed before. When times are tough, luxuries like track days get cut in favor of paying house mortgages and loans. I haven't done a track day because I have no extra money. Insurance won't cover me also and that worries me.
In conclusion, some love trackdays, but just dont have the money for them.
14" Biceps. So what if I am weak...
Thanks for the feedback.
I have heard this many times (about not having enough money)... hopefully things will change next year.

Yeah, very cool, Degsy. I got a little worried when she couldn't track down a new bar.
Anyhoo, I had fun and will do another day with Tony and the crew. I just hope next time, I dont need a kayak to get through 12![]()

NESBA still has some events in October, TLR Vaz is going out to Beaver Run to do a weekend. Its a long ride, like 600 miles, but its a nice new track. Not sure if I going yet. I want to do VIR trackday next season.
