No, not mine!
Purchased new in 2007 at Frank's Motorcycle Sales in Essex Center, VT. Motorcycle is white, almost new tires: Michelin Pilot Powers, other mods include a Stebel air horn that you can actually hear (120+db), license plate relocation and integrated brake/turn signal light installation, 'blue-light' halogen headlight bulbs for a brighter field of view, tank friction pads for protection and control, CRG barend 'Lanesplitter' mirrors that really work.

Are these bikes all the hype or what?
I have read many a positive review on them and that wheelies are 2nd nature.
I took a test drive on one at Franks and when I got back to the dealership I had to run away as fast as I could so that I wouldn't make a very expensive decision on a whim. If I was back in VT right now I would be very tempted by this...
Man, just looking at that thing makes me want to trade in my Z...

I want to buy one.
but I can't.
I will however go back to Frank's and test drive one. I was there last week but they werent offering test drives yet. It's a bike i've been drooling over for a while now.

Does Franks do an open house with test drives or do they keep a demo model around?
Maybe I should take one for a crank. Though you'd probably have a bitch of a time getting me to stray from the gixxer I think.

I just went in and asked if I could test the Speed and Street triples. They said no to the Street since it was brand new, but I think the Speed was a leftover and was sort of being used as a demo mule. That's the only time I've dealt with them (may go back once I'm in the market for a Daytona) so YMMV.
Frank's is pretty good about test rides. Usually if it's a highly-anticipated new model, like Keith's mention of the Street Triple, they won't have a demo bike available, although even that's not always true (when the BMW F800GS came out, Lester actually kept the first one he got in as a display and demo bike and wouldn't sell it). Established models like the Speed Triple usually have demos available. When the new fuel-injected Bonneville came in, Lester basically handed me the keys without me even asking and told me to take it for a spin.
As for that white Speed Triple... I would love to get one, but if I did, I'd look for the older 955 model in mint condition. I just like the look of that one better than the 1050, and it's a little more comfortable for me too.
But what I'd really like to have is a Tiger 955.

The Strom's a pig offroad. The suspension is terrible as soon as you start hitting the slightest washboard. It's okay for careful riding on dirt roads (would be much better with TKC80 knobbies, of course). But to give you an idea of how I feel about its off-pavement ability, I'm riding the Trans-Labrador Highway this summer, about 500 miles of which is variable dirt/sand/gravel, and I'm taking my XR650L instead of the Strom despite the distance.
The Tiger 885 is set up better for that kind of riding. Spoked wheels instead of cast ones (V-Strom wheels are easily destroyed), better suspension, better offroad ergos, etc.
That said, I think the Strom has the makings of a great adventure touring bike, and my plan is to slowly start modding it in that direction. Suspension upgrades first and foremost. I'd like to lose all the plastic from the front end so I can actually see where I'm putting the front wheel. I'd love to eventually replace the front end with forks off a KTM 950 Adventure or Honda CR500 or something and fit spoked 21" front and 18" rear wheels. The V-Strom's engine is perfect for an ADV bike; it's just a lot of the stuff around it that needs changing.
This SV650 mod is awesome beyond words:
