Alright guys here is my issue, i had my headlights fail on me and i found out that the headlight housing adjusters were not going the job correctly, which was making my bulb and everything act all wierd, so i replaced it with my old headlight. After that, i was putting all my stuff back on, and now one of my bolts are stripped and cant get it out for my left mirror, FML. On top of that, when putting on my right mirror it, it cracked. So FML x2. So i cant take this shit anymore and my only solution is to fighter my bike.
So im asking for help, to turn my bike into a street fighter. Suggestions and stuff would be greatly appreciated. Im just so pissed now. Urgh.![]()

You could not handle a headlight change and mirror mounting so now your gonna turn it into a street fighter? Are you planning to do this work yourself![]()
Buy someone in vt a 12pk and have them put your headlights and mirrors on.

Well thats not the point. Everyone that knows me and my bike, is that my bike initially when i bought it was in rough shape, all the fairings were already cracked, and it needed alot of love. So i kept with it and stuff, but now everythings failing on me, so its better just to go fighter.

No, that's not the point. You pretty much admitted you were incompetent, so bring it to someone who can handle it.

Sounds like you're over torqing everything so your solution to remove stuff instead of put stuff on may be the correct direction to go in.

Fk off man, all im asking for is help, not critiques as to how or what im doing wrong. Had it just been the headlight, ive already replaced it, adjusted it, etc. The mirrors, its fkin simple to put on, you just screw it on. Im not saying im not incapable of doing it, im frustrated of having to deal with my bike all the time.
If you want to bash someone, go on youtube or somewhere else to do. And the fact that your digging a hole for someones thats already low, its a dick ass move. So if you cant help me with suggestions and positive advice, go elsewhere to fk with someone elses day.
In addition to all that, this is my first bike, been working on it since day 1 that i got it, earlier this year. So fk off. Considering your 32, probably have your life together, all that stuff. It would be nice if you can be more mature that how you are right now.

Go easy, man. You're going to get all sorts of responses when you post here.
The best thing to do is ignore anything and everything that is not exactly what your looking for.
What kind of help, specifically, are you looking for?

Hey Joe, if you're serious about going the streetfighter route, you might want to check out one or more of the forums dedicated to streetfighters. Customfighters.com seems to be one of the bigger ones, and I know a few of their members post here occasionally too.
Personally, I say go for it, but then I would say that because I dislike bodywork. I don't think there are any specific parts you should get; the point of a streetfighter (just like a cafe racer) is that it's a custom build. Use what you have access to and make it work. Tons of general-purpose parts are available on the big parts/accessories websites.
Have fun with the build!

One of the coolest naked light set-ups I've seen is using the two R1 headlight units without the fairing.
I have a little bit of experience with what you're looking to do, but you'll need a bit more direction than "I want to fighter my bike".
Do you want to switch from clip-ons to bars, or do you want more of a cafe racer seating position?
A good set of bars (Renthal 7/8's are my favorite) will run you $80-100, and the risers will run you anywhere from $40-150 depending on style. Bars will require you either drill holes in your top triple or buy a custom piece. Bars will also require you to relocate your gauge cluster (unless you don't mind a cluster that's really far away), which requires you to fabricate some brackets. You will also need to extend your brake and clutch lines most likely, check Speigler for brake lines and find a clutch line from a standard bike that's 2-3" longer.
You're going to need a new headlight setup. I would recommend you look over at www.aztec8.com for streetfighter headlight setups. This would also be a good way to mount the cluster. Or you can just go straight custom, buy some automotive fog lights and make your own bracket. Either method will of course require a bit of wiring.
Then you'll probably run into a few extra things you'll have to fabricate or problems you'll have to work around (like extending your wiring harness or similar issues).
If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

Rough day for Jo. haha.
Sounds like you're planning on ditching your stock headlight. Basically all you have to do is strip all of the bodywork and crap off of your bike... then put the things back that you need/want. For example, you'll have to figure out what you want to do for a headlight. Here's some generic options.. I'm sure there's plenty more sites out there.

Edit: Ah, I was beat with a better post than mine.

Hey....we can have a party over at Baggey's place & watch Jopo work on his bike...and offer our wisdom & experience while we all watch him work on his bike.

The best payback would for him to mount and achieve a credible streetfighter project, Then post the pictures on here at completion. or during the build. Show em what you can do. Actions always speak louder.
