I might as well comment since I finally got on track and got into a routine... I started p90x on January 7, and am down 20 pounds... went from 202 to 182... finishing up phase II now and loving it... I really needed someone to just tell me what to do everyday AND I don't have to drag my lazy ass anywhere except in front of my TV :)
Although I went a little crazy and actually BOUGHT!!!! my p90x dvds... :teehee:
Good luck, I'm right there with you. I tried on my bike jacket the other day at it was too tight. I'm pushing about 235.
I've been working on this since late last summer, after riding the R6 I bought last year. When I bought it, I weighed 320 pounds. I actually did buy it as something of a motivational tool :)
Seems to be working. As of this week, I've dropped 50.5 pounds, with a goal of about 70 more to get down to 200. Even at just 50 pounds, what a difference riding the R6. I've had it out the last few days and not nearly the strain on my back, wrists and shoulders that it used to be. It probably helps that I have started going to the gym too, but I've a long way to go there yet. Mostly still doing recumbent bikes and some elliptical as I don't feel comfortable running yet on these old knees!
Looking forward to the riding season - hopefully I'll make it down for BN more often than the twice I managed last year.

I didn't read through the entire thread, but here's something that me and a bunch of co-workers are taking part in this winter/spring.

its open to first responders and their families and probably beyond. teams of 3-5 people weigh in at the beginning of january and get their body fat calculated. then weigh out in April. $50 entry fee gets you into the national and regional competition between teams to lose weight and increase lean muscle mass. If any of you all on here have an interest, you should give it a shot next year.
FYI... I am 213 in uniform, Boots and all. I am weighing in each Thursday at work.
Naked I am about 6-8 pounds less.

doc... can you make the months current? or do you know im going to weight 208.6 on april?
Kitt, the number next to April is the first goal. I think he said 5% by April 23rd or something, so you're supposed to lose 10 pounds by then. He's not trying to predict the future.
I know its not the official weigh in yet, but I just hit 190 this morning (and a month early) and im pumped :beerbang:
What marathon did you run to qualify?
And I'm 153.6 right now. Getting to 140 is going to be tough.
