Do we want to do something this summer? If so, we gotta get crackin on it. I can put some things together, and do my thang, but I will def. need some help.
Discuss.
Looking at Sat, July 31 across the street from Donny's by the river.

Why not tag onto the Winooski Day... In June, I think...
Or the bike safety day in May...

If it's big and for another good cause I'm sure I could convince my parents to come up again.
Just make sure it's not the weekend of June 4-6, because that's when the Bennington Triumph Bash is taking place.

Ok, instead of a smiley face, how bout a list of those reasons?
Lets hash this stuff out. Get it all out on the table!
Why would we want to tag onto a Cyclist Safety Day, other than for exposure? I know its about being seen and all, but I think its a bit different. I really think we can get a really cool Concours Show together, like you had brought up, and I think its something we can pull off and get just as much exposure.
To start, what would our goals be? I think coupling a Concours Style (Show n Shine) with some informational exhibits (Track Days/Racing, MSF, ARC), dealers/vendors, and our own Bike Night agenda.
I think we still have plenty of time, especially since we are looking at the end of July to get the word out, get things set-up, and pull off a great event, instead of having to fight for space by tagging on to another event that is not really relevant to what we would like or what we do.

I was cruisin round the Noosk today and decided to check out the Mill/River Walk area since it was a nice day and all. Its a great spot for any type of Event, and while I have not been to anything that the town has sponsored, I'm sure it will be great for us.
I sent an email to Demitrios, as he is our un-officially official liaison to the town for BN, to see if we can get an event permit to use that area on Sat, July 31st.
Now, is there anything going on that someone knows about off the top of their noggin's regarding the 31st of July?
I've already been putting feelers out to guys with sweet bikes to show case at the Event. Though I am waiting on approval from the City of Winooski before getting into things too much.
Once we have a permit, I'll need some volunteers to contact some organizations to either support and advertise for us, or to show up as informational vendors...such as Motorcycle Vermont, the MSF, the VT Moto Conservation Group, etc.
More to follow!

Word, thanks man. I have yet to get my even applications submitted...planning on taking care of that this week though, and we'll go from there! I'm thinking that since we are planning this on the small scale, in terms of vendors and cool stuff thats not motorcycles, the biggest thing we'll need is personal contacts that people know who have bad ass bikes. Cause its going to be a bike show, and we need some sweet machines...Indians, HD, Laverda, Bimota, Trick Busa's, Ducs, Apes, MV, Triumph Bobbers/Rat Bikes, BSA, Norton, race bikes, you name it and there is someone in NE that has one...we just gotta find em, and see if they want to show their bikes with us!

Ok so are we confirming the date as July 31st?
We should post up on Craigslist looking for anyone interested in displaying a bike. I say we try to keep the cruisers/H.D.s' to a minimum.
Getting the word out to Vendors NOW would be good. In my experience thay need ALOT of notice.
