Parker, it must be really disconcerting for the entire world to tilt when you're cornering...![]()

Dang .... I missed you all. I went the AppaGap yesterday as well because I really needed to get out of the office. I did my usual up poke-along to the Gore Road from Richmond, up & over the gap on Rt. 17, picked up the German Flats Road to Sugarbush Access Road, up to the Golf Course Road to West Hill Rd, down to Warren Village, then I went up & over the Roxbury Mtn Road, to 12a to Randolf, up Rt 12 to Northfield (nice little loop, nice route, pavement...so-so), blasted up & over "the big hill" on Rt. 64 to Williamstown, Rt 14, back to 89 North to Middlesex exit, picked up Rt.2 to Waterbury, Rt 100 to the Moscow Road, up & through Smuggler's Notch , then Pleasant Valley Road & Rt. 15 back to the Fort Ethan. (google map link)
Sadly, my riding would have not produced such hip-cool riding shots as AHAMAYs2 & Huffer.![]()

Someday... there is that last negative radius turn before the top that I never seem to hit well...sigh ... I always get to the top, just never with any style or grace...but plenty of safety in mind.
...but if I come along, your gang wont' be The Cool Kids with Uncle Pokey bearing up the rear...of course, you can just wait for me at the top.
The pictures were great. You guys make those helmets look good.![]()
Unkle Pokey!please...please....please come with us
And Becky said she is more than happy to take picture for anyone interesetd. the only catch is she wants to be a passanger for the trip down....lol, but i don't mind her as a passanger so just let me know and we'll snap off a few pictures![]()

All you guys are in Vermont!?!? jeez where are the nice rodes closer to or in RI!?!?
JohnC,
One of my memorable "upsets" was on the Sugarbush Golf Course road... headed to work at 7 AM, about 20mph, sand across the road from the rain the night before... Oh S#!t... slow-mo front end tuck, jump and roll!
Broke a couple ribs with my elbow, but the gear saved my hide. That was 30 years ago... on my CB400. That was a great bike. I dropped the triples and put drag bars on, with bar end mirrors. Instant cafe!

Hi Ho mi1knc0okies ...
Later this summer, I will be exploring the various "triple-digits" routes in southern Vermont. I am not that familiar with the roads south of Route 4. West of I91 & East of Route 7. Since I live in Colchester, VT, I have to make a special effort to get down that way. I am going to visit my sister in Cheshire, CT this summer, so I will be taking the scenic route. (I definitely don't want to ride on I89 through Springfield, MA & Hartford, CT.... ugh... there are much more scenic ways to get there.)
On my ride yesterday, on the "near loop" I did on 12A to 12, I visited Allis State Park on Route 65, a well graded maintained dirt road, but I definitely need to ride that from 12 to Route 14 (East Brookfield) In fact, I want to ride Routes 12, 14 & 16 end to end in Vermont one of these days.
...but I don't know how close I'll get to Little Rhodie.

Yo PK -
Ouch! ... dang, sorry to hear that but glad to hear you bounce & bounced back... I do love a classic bike. I wish I had a garage, I would think about starting a few projects... I also have had an unfortunate encounter with sand as well.....but as you said, get the gear & wear it. It works.
