Devastation around here is incredible. I'm one of the lucky ones—no property damage, got power, water, and Internet....and from what I hear, if I really needed to get out of town, I could make it on the 1150. Word is that emergency and utility vehicles might be able to reach Killington Tuesday or Wednesday and no word yet on general public being able to transit Route 4.
Hope everyone else is safe.
Heard they're going to try and make a wide enough path for emergency and utility vehicles to get up there. They were launching a boat onto West Proctor Road from center Rutland when I went by this afternoon. Just unbelievable how bad it is. Stay safe.

The whole Route 100 corridor got hit incredibly hard, which was compounded by the limited access to begin with. We're very close to having at least emergency access in and out of most towns on the corridor, but it's still tenuous and there are a lot of homes cut off from vehicle traffic (and power).
I can't believe all this, my goodness! My mom sent me some helicopter footage this morning...unreal! How are things looking up there now KB?

A lot of work over the past week, somewhat regular access in/out (and ATV/moto access via some old roads), but still no "come as you please" vehicular access. We've got our fingers crossed for the next couple of days—another batch of heavy rain could make things quite messy. The focus for the past day or so has been opening culverts so that water can have somewhere to go.
I ran my Vstrom VT Adventure at a Gaysville, VT campground at the location of a mill wiped away in 1927. I am sure it is GONE as the rt 107 is cut right to the hill face and is basically missing
There are videos of the resupply convoys heading to Stockbridge via 107 here.
