I might be able to help out either Sunday (10th or 17th) but both are still kind of up in the air at this point. I will be outside of Burlington both Saturdays, but I'm really not sure of when I'm going to be returning, so I'll keep an eye on this thread and hopefully be able to help out.

OK Doc, do you mod this section? can you put 16th/17th in the title?
I'd like to figure out who can come.
Put a new belt in the skid steer (what a b!+¢#) and it plows like a beast now... going to give it a once-over now that it's back out of the woods.
Thanks Doc!
update:
OK, so the new belt in the skidsteer has transformed it into a trail clearing machine!
I probably have 1/4 mile or so of a 5 ft bucket-width "trail". Looks like most of the work is going to be helping me gather all the small trees that got uprooted and pushed to the sides. I am trying to make the loop about a mile in length and cover plenty of elevation changes (without dropping any significant trees). As the trail develops and gets ride time, I will be widening and adding jumps. right now a work or utility quad or enduro bike has no issues on the part that is cleared, but a minty race quad or mx set up is probably not welcomed yet.
so... who can help and when!?![]()
Ill see about swinging down Sunday, I can bring anything you need (potentially). I can steal a chainsaw from my dad too!

I can probably help on Sunday, depends on how early I can escape from lake Elmore (or something like that, not really sure where I'll be on Saturday)

As a newbie still, I'll ask the dumb question (yes, there is such a thing as a DUMB question):
Where do you live?? Of course a PM might be wise if privacy is your gig.

I can be there either Saturday or Sunday. You pick. Take a look at the forecast mid week and let me know which you'd prefer and what you want me to bring. Chainsaw, tractor, etc.
I talked to my father about the excavator and they are trying to diagnose a hydraulic leak right now so the timing of using it is a bit up in the air. I'll update you as I find out more.

We are talking the 16th or 17th still right?
I won't know for 100% until the weekend actually gets here (going away thurs/fri).. but I should be good to put in some hours either sat or sun afternoon or maybe both.

What's the scoop with this weekend? My nephew is having a birthday brunch Sunday morning at 10 so I'd be late on Sunday but Saturday I'm pretty much free. When should I come over and what should I bring for tools/equipment. The excavator is still pissing fluid so that's not really an option but I could drag the tractor over if that'll be helpful.

Well, the quad now needs repair... so im down to a skid steer and a chainsaw. I'll take the help I can get (on sunday)... but saturday I should probably catch up on some much needed wrenching on the fleet...
250F - need dirt tires put back on
150R - needs carb cleaning and fresh gas
TWFREE - would like to look at it
Megs car - needs rear brakes & oil change
My truck - oil change
quad - needs rear swingarm removed, replacement ordered.
FUN!
Basically, it's a simple clean up... best thing is a small pick up, chain saw, some pruning tools (mine are still in springfield)... The skidsteer did a great job of clearing a path, but I need to go through and do a general clean-up of the stuff it just left on the sides. The trail is coming well, 5ft wide for now. I want to get a full loop at 5' before widening. When widening, I will have much bigger trees to drop & cut.
I can do friday evening, saturday morning, or pretty open sunday. If Jay comes up, I'll be putting the to-do list aside, cause he'll be coming up for a couple days.
I can come up another time. The dog is nursing some injuries and there might be some good surf this weekend. I also have a list of stuff I need to wrench on.
I assume Sunday is looking like the best? It'd be gnarly in the woods with weather like this.
