It's great that the tag has been placed in great part of Vermont. Nice!
I might have to make that a trip tomorrow...

That road, end to end, is in excellent shape this summer. I've been over it 4 times now. I had a different tag in mind but decided to extend my afternoon ride and figured that would be a good tag.
Old:
How i got in the picture - when i pulled over to line the bike up, a large, slightly intoxicated, shirtless and very hairy man approached me from up the driveway. "who are you, and what are you doing here?", he said. I told him i was here to take a photo of his sign for tag-o-rama, and explained the game. He identified himself as "Fred's son", and he owned the gun shop next door. He proceeded to give me a quick history of his father's ventures - antique toys, clocks, and guns. After we talked, he offered to take my photo for the tag.
Thank you Slyder for putting the tag on such a sick road! I had never been on that road, and was very happy to flog it on the way home!
New tag soonish...
I always remembered that place as being a gun shop...so that sign confused me a bit, but I knew it was "Trader Fred's"
Slick.

New tag:
I took this pic from a small side road, only about 100 feet from the main road.

i think i found an old photo of it...![]()
Fire up the Duc
Actually, I think I have seen said bridge before. In looking at the pic I thought of a certain town in VT and then after some poking...pretty sure I confirmed it. Score.

Interesting, because if it spans the CT river to NH, VT told NH "you can have the damn river but you have to maintain the bridges" and NH says "ok"
Hence why we see, or at least should see, "welcome to NH" or "*town_name_here* NH town line" on the VT side of the bridges, at or really close to the high water mark.
That concludes our VT/NH trivia for today. Next time we'll talk about NH and NY fighting over how much of VT was theirs.![]()
I know exactly where that is. Did you check the native american rock carvings while you were there?

They are on the rocks on the bank of the river right there. Abenaki petroglyphs.
Nice grab man![]()
