parting out, NICE 2005 R6 SUPERBIKE, some 07 parts - R6Messagenet.com
$125 for new subframe
thanks for the link....that isn't a bad deal on the rear shock hes got either
lol i did notice that...it was a little tweaked to the side. still worked great though while it lasted.
there was no saving that thing though from impact. its bent like a foot down and to the right, almost on my rear tire.
Did you change the gearing for the weekend?
finally got one on ebay for $121 shipped.....
so pumped about it haha i couldn't find one to save my life. everyone i found the ppl either sold it already or never got back to me, or they were like $200 for some reason.
and this one comes with a new tray too, which i also kinda need.
anybody good at welding, maybe interested in trying to make a tubular subframe for me? i'm sick of breaking these damn things....i'd much rather be able to bend it back to shape haha
maybe i should just stop fahkin crashing
Good to hear, thats actuallly a good price for a used. If you got a racing subframe or one that has been hand made those are the easiest to repair and bend back if possible. Mike Martire welded my subframe and did an excellent job, it actually fit better than it did when it was new! I gave it to him with more damage than I thought, he probably laughed when he saw it, but he did an over the top job on it. I think ill be bringing some more red bull by in August! But yea, the factory ones usually crack before they bend and I dont thing cast alluminum can be welded that well, so get an aftermarket one if you want the resuability factor.
And not to hijack your thread, but im new to here so hello to everyone I know and dont know. Ive posted at NEAR for a while and now that ive met some people from here I figured id post here also.

hey whats up man, good to see you here. Yea i'm gunna look into an aftermarket subframe this winter probably. Money is tight for now, i'll be lucky to race much for the rest of the season haha.
so who makes aftermarket subframes? i know nothing about them.... anybody have any links i can check out?
r-r-racing.com , Sometimes if you search ebay you may find someone who has made some. Thats how I got mine, but if fit horribly, I had to modify it for it to fit. I only paid $90 for it, if you pay $200 from r-r I wouldnt worry about it not fitting.
