Anyone have any experience tracking an 1125r? I'm looking for a track bike for track days, no racing (I say that now). I like the idea of a twin, and this things a fuck lot cheaper than a duc. I know spares might be harder to come by than the usual bikes, but once again, the price is right.
Opinions?

Previous gen Ducs are even cheaper.

Track only, why not an SV?
Meh.... Rode my buddy Nick's 1125R a few times... street, NHMS, NJMP... fun bike but not sure I'd own one.
When I rode it at NHMS the damn thing nearly burned my foot off because of the exhaust. My god, I've never wanted to stick my foot in a bucket of ice water more in my life. Legit surprised I didn't end up with 1st degree burns.

There is some inherent risk here. When I did it, I asked the seller for references from the racing community, and I called the references. Satisfied, I took the risk and sent him the money before he sent the bike (forward air). It all worked out perfectly.
Some people will go as far as using a third party to hold the money (escrow) until the bike is received as promised.
1125r won DSB series in '09 and you're all bagging on it, that's a little funny.

Fact still remains, it won out of all manufacturers in '09. It's clearly not a terrible machine. I happen to enjoy them on track, nicely balanced until you cook the brakes.
