Ok so I figured we could discuss each turn in seperate threads... (No I am not gonna start a thread for every turn, if YOU have a question about a turn start a thread about one yourself)
My first question is:
Should you try and be to the right or the left of the "Turtle" in 12a?

should probably name your corners correctly
I believe technically its 11A and 12
Watching the fast guys come through 12 cornerworking, they seem to be to the left of it, riding that lil strip between the 'turtle' and the depression. I am not that precise yet.

Penguin School refers to it as 12 and 12A
Personally I'm always to the left of the turtle, I've tried the right but leftside works better for me.
Boston --> San Diego
I experimented with foot out through there and turned in quicker than expected and slammed my foot/heal on the curb...glad I didn't break my foot![]()

O.K. I gotta ask. What and where is the turtle?
I’m with Penguin as it is a right turn then a left turn.
Left / Over / Right of the turtle. Just be loose on the bars and weight that outside peg.
This all starts back at your right turn in 11.
If I’m slow mph it is to the right and I bend the bike around the bump.
If I’m fast it is to the left. By going thru there faster time is shorter to quickly flip the bike around + the speed tends to push you out further to the left setting you to the left of it.
You should attend TTD Graham goes over T11-12 in detail.

Or you could go to the RACING School and get a trackwalk with Eric
Ryan: I used to call it 11, 11A, 12 as well then I saw Eric calling it 12/12A and that made more sense to me. We call it 1 and 1A and that's a left right so by similar logic 12/12A works on the other end![]()

I did the Penguin Advanced school. I will have to check my notes.
It was raining so we did a track ride.![]()

I aim my front wheel directly at the bump and the countersteer for the left-hand turn out tracks the tire so that the front tire ends up just to the right of it.
