I think I'm going to turn in my race license for being a pathetic excuse for a club racer. In 3 years I've averaged 8.6 race entries per year, that's weak. I think Denno has entered 8.6 entries per weekend so far in 2008! If you are a fellow lackluster club racer (HBerry?) lets hear your voice!

*sigh* I was so pumped after 2005 and man, 2006 and 2007 were going to be IT. Gonna hit those 19's, gonna 'git fast', gonna have fun racing with the boys. Nope. 2008 and I'm fatter, slower, and broker than ever DOH!

Let's see with the GTL race and LWSM this weekend I'm up to 2 (tentative) for 2008. Hopefully I can get another 6 races in before the end of the year and keep my Batting Average up there!

yeah, i feel ya man.

started in june 06, did about 8 races between than and the end of the season.

07, broke elbow in april practice, was recovered physically by june but than had to replace the tranny in my car...good bye race budget....0 races in 07

08, broke foot/ankle in street crash, 3 weeks before the may weekend that was supposed to be my 08 debut with the hawk....0 races in 08.

sold race hawk, not renewing race license... towel thrown in.

I only tracked my AM races,
2006- 5 AM races from Sept-Oct. all on the ex500. down to 1:25.
2007- 13 AM Races, 1 DNF. 0 crashes. Switched to the SV650 in July, got down to 1:20.
2008- 0.

2006 - killed it in my rookie season... Dipped down into the 1:24's, bumped to AM & condinued to do well. Started somethin like 15-20 races, finished all but a small handfull.

2007 - First weekend of the year, right back down into the low 25's before... well.. yeah. Return from injury to make the last 3 race weekends... putt around first weekend back, kill it the next weekend, last race weekend was slllooowwww..

2008 so far - Hardly worth mentioning I've only finished 3 friggin races this year & am 5 seconds off my pace (Not to mention I'll be missing this weekend ) 2008's been full of frustrations.

Evil....don't completely throw the towel in. I got beat by a guy in May who is 71 and fast!! He could technically be my grandfather. Yes it is vintage, but you have plenty of years to go!

oh, i certainly didn't say i was never going to race again ever...just not for awhile.

careful, that vintage racing seems kinda appealing...i'd better not start looking in to that.
