Don't forget that things like this also require corner workers, "race" officials, ambulance crews etc. I like the idea of after hours fun activities but from the track perspective they can turn into a lot of work and need at least a few volunteers and possibly some paid employees to make them happen.
I wish it was as simple as the days of our youth when a bunch of guys showed up in a parking lot without asking permission of the lot owner and whipped around for a few hours until we got tired or politely asked to leave. Today's sue happy society though ruins things like that especially from the perspective of the possibly sued entity.
Don't over analyze it. This was a great chance for racing grom and woody was the only serious one about it.
Unfortunately it seems like our local market isn't serious enough or at the point to make it worth having any sort of efforts towards grom racing (as Kurtz predicted).
