I know im not the most probable guy to be making this thread, but here's my weekend:
Since my first race in April, I have been consistantly dropping about a second per race weekend. 2 Race weekends ago, I got into "24's", and ran a 1:24:81 lap time with my parents attending, and was psyched... Then last race weekend, hoping for something in the high 23's, I got a 1:24:0X lap time... better, but not what I was hoping for.
So... I decided I needed to run 22's before bumping, and was really hoping to get 23's this weekend, and 22's next race weekend, although everyone warned me I was bound to plateau soon.
My first race weekend I netted a 4th out of 13 in a rain race, and haven't seen a top 5 since... I finally earned some more, and I did it in a fast way (for me).
I ended up doing better than the 23's or 22's... I dropped almost 3 full seconds!
Results:
Race 1 Middleweight Superbike:
4th of 26 w/ a 1:22:02 lap time
(lost 3rd place to lapped traffic in turn 3 on the last lap)
Race 2 Heavyweight Supersport:
3rd of 21 w/ a 1:22:15 lap time
(Lost 2nd place due to a lapper in turn 3 on the last lap)
Race 3 Middleweight Supersport:
5th of 22 w/ a 1:21:15 lap time
Race 4 Middleweight GranPrix:
6th of 16 w/ a 1:21:24 lap time
Ok, try to make this quick
Easily the best and most exciting racing of my season
Saturday LWSM 5th with some wood, or ceramic as the case may be.
Exciting finish, with myself and a motard battling for position come up behind a lapper and go 3 wide into 12. The motard goes in the dirt, pops out in front of me on the straight, but I manage to drag him to beat him by .1 of a second or something. I believe I was the first non-motard finisher there. I also was forced to pass people where I never was comfortable before because of the amount of slower traffic around, that worked out real well for me.
Sun GTL. Nothing major, but 7th in class, certainly not too shabby up against the SVs and all those crazy things.
Sun PTwins. 3rd. Probably the best race of my life. Managed the hole shot and led a lap for the first time ever. After a lap or two, Brian goes around me and is just gone, so I can accept 2nd, but theres no way in hell I want to go to 4th, I wanted one of those nice trophies. Anyway, eventually Darrell passes me, and I get him right back, so I know he's there. Stay ahead of him for a bit, but he eventually gets me again, and I stay on his back tire the rest of the race try to get a good jump out of 12, but he stays ahead on the straight and gets me by .15 seconds. One of these days I'll get him.
But it was a great weekend, 2 woods and I'm really starting to feel competitive which certainly makes things a lot more exciting.

no wood for me, I did however do my fastest lap ever. I made a 19 year old honda hawk go faster around the track then a very well tuned 600 (i use to race)
got the holeshot led for a lap, crashed out of 3rd and broke my hand,
Locked the rear going into the bowl on the down shift, maybe past 2nd into 1st? details still fuzzy.
no biggie I am grateful its just my hand And I did progress even if i only made half a race.
Congrats lads

I'll TRY to make this quick as well. You think you had an exciting weekend!! OH BOY!! Wait until you read my WHOLE report!
My fastest lap prior to this weekend was a 129.152 on the Hawk. I practiced saturday with the Hawk and got into the 127's. I Didn't get much practice with the Duc saturday and wasn't "feeling it".
Raced the Hawk Saturday in LWSS http://www.lrrsracing.com/results/20...22007/Sat9.pdf
7th outta 19 in the class and a 127.7
Know for the exciting part.
I decide to get some good practice on the (new to me) Ducati Sunday, I go out in practice and get some 127's with that as well. Still not feeling it but feeling better than saturday after new tank, bars and cast iron rotors.
1st race is ULSB lined up in 1a! (I love pre reg) got the hole shot and led most of the lap until Puppet passed me in 12. Tried to keep that orange "carrot" in my sights and stay in second but I crashed in 12 on the 7th lap... I thought I was done, looked the bike over got the ok from the cornerworker and went on to take the checkers. 8th outta 11. but lets look at the lap times!! http://www.lrrsracing.com/results/20...un/Sun7Lap.pdf 124.893!!! WOO WHO!
Get back in the pits replace a brake lever, check the bike and leathers over... all is ok. Start feeling pain in my right side.bruised some ribs in my crash.
oh well. I was rather miserable here, ULSB was my race, the only chance I had at getting a cool trophy.
LWSB had bigger bikes and faster riders... I was bummed.
Go to get out on the pre grid for LWSB and the bike won't start, quick jump start with help from the pit crew and I am off.Get on pre grid and the bike dies!! I had to push start it (something people said couldn't be done on a bike with such high compression) half way down hot pit. It starts and I am winded all through the warm up and into the race.
As for the race. I will wrap this up and you can read my even longer report.I was 3rd going into one and stayed there! Passed for second on the 6th lap (I think) with the help of some lap traffic. Went for first on the last lap but lost it in the drive out of 3. Decided to settle in and take 2ND PLACE IN LWSB!!! http://www.lrrsracing.com/results/20...un/Sun7Lap.pdf
and lets look at the lap times! http://www.lrrsracing.com/results/20...n/Sun13Lap.pdf 123.065!!!!
HOLY CRAP!!!
Thanks to everyone. More later!![]()

Ex MWSS - 11th
Ex MWGP - 13th (ran consistent 16's the whole race)
Ex HWSS - 6th (not too many riders)
I had a great weekend, no "oh shit" moments, no crashes (for once), but matched my best lap time like 5 times this weekend so that was pretty cool. I'm stuck in the mid 16's....can't f'n break them no matter what I try. My goal for the end of the year is to break into the 15's but I dunno if i'm gunna be able to do it with the way my bike is set up.
In my first race the start was a little nuts haha...I got a decent start and on my way by the guy in front of me a guy trys to go between us and bumps me on the way by. I didn't think much of it but I got to T3 and could find my f'n break lever! So...I glance down and notice it dangling but still attached so I reach up and pull it back just in time to slow down for the turn, then we get a red flag....I pull back into pregrid and apparently the guy that bumped me caught it with his tail section and ripped it forward breaking off the stop paddle on the lever (it punched a pretty good size hole in his new paint job). So quickly i jump off the pregrid, fly over to street and comp and they hook me up with another break lever right there just in time to get back out there as the guys were leaving for the warmup lap! HUGE thanks to the guys at street and comp for the help!
Anyway, looks like everyone had a great weekend as well....congrats to everyone that had breakthroughs!
7th in LWSM
1st in PTWINs
I knew the start was gonna be crucial in Production Twins and I was right... First start i got a great jump & was the first EX500 into turn 1 behind a bunch of Motards.... red flag... DAMN.
2nd start I got a great jump again, pulled even w/ a couple of motards from the row in front of me & the bike popped outta gear... they pulled away & I got passed by Tom & Conor Joyce by the 4 boards... I used my outside grid position and the Motard Traffic Jam in turn 1 to my advantage & re-passed Tom & Conor as well as a couple of motards around the outside of turn 1 as I knew I was gonna need some traffic between myself & fast guy Johnathan Vaughan. I passed one more motard on the outside of 1a for good measure.
Sure as shit, I was right... my out lap was 1/2 a second faster than Johnathan's & I finished 1/2 a second in front of him by the end of the race. Our lap times were almost identical but I kept the lead from start to finish![]()

I finally broke through to the other side and got yellow plates. What an incredible choice. The first thing I noticed was the track courtesy, and knowledge. People actually know how to ride and what a race line is. I was blown away by the first practice and feeling great.
No wood my first weekend as amatuer but the experience and getting led around by some fast guys really was worth more to me than any trophy.
Puppet nice work on smoking me from the back and ripping off a 22.
Doc nice work man nice work.
Kit, Ryan........same keep up the good work.
Biggles and Jamie same hing nice work. Jamie that is some nice time yo!!!
It was nice to see eveyrone and the great folks at the track make it all worth it. I love heading to the track!!

Cliff Notes:
Wood:
1st: LW Sportsman
1st: UL Superbike
1st: Motard
Notables:
Finally completed my 10 races so I can bump to AM
1:22.7!!!!!!!
Race Report:
Saturday:
I think I completed all of 4 laps of practice in two sessions. First session, on brand new slicks, went out to shake the cobwebs and scrub new tires. Got in 4 laps and went to hot pit to adjust the mixture screw on my carb. I had made a needle change and the bike was bogging on my drive out of 6 and 12. As soon as I got to hot pit we got red flagged...Session over. 2nd session (after the fast experts big crash) I pitted out and got red flagged before 3...session overBest lap time 1.31
Race 9 LW Sportsman. I grid up having no idea if my jetting changes are going to work, and still feeling tight. I'm front row "c" of the second wave and really wanted to run a hot warm up lap to shake out a bit. I pick my way through and then end up sitting on the grid for what seems like forever waiting for the 40 some odd people in the two races to grid. I get off the line alright (after stalling last weekend in this race), Clarky got the holeshot and then I past him in 1 to get out in front. Stayed out in front the whole race and passed my way up 3/4 of the 1st wave, so that was cool. Lap times weren't too consistent and I felt very tight the whole race. I could definitely see the adverse effects of not having practice time, but a trophy is a trophy and I only have to complete one more race to have my 10 for advancement so...cool! Best time was a 1:24.4...but most of the race was in the 25's and 26's. My personal best was 24 flat.
Sunday:
Got in two good practice sessions and was able to loosen myself up quite a bit. I was already feeling better than Saturday. Practice times in the 26s and 27s. First race is race 7, Ultra Light Superbike. I've never run this before, but was excited. I started front row and ended up third into 1. Doc freakin flew off the starting line on the Duc! I got blocked a bit by a 125 in 1a and got passed putting me into 4th. Time to go to work. I put my head down and picked my way into 2nd by turn 5 and started chasing Doc. I can't remember when I passed him, but when he tried to re-pass me on the brakes into 3 i knew he meant business. I put my head down and pulled out the win. It was the first race I never looked back and just did my own thing. I ran very consistent 24's and was very pleased. It would have been awesome if Doc had finished 2nd without his "oops" in 12, but it was cool to have the "1a" boys running 1 and 2 for most of the race. 10 races complete, the next one is just for fun.
Race 11 was Motard at the end of the day. Gridded front row "a" and got off the line well and was able to pull hard into 1. I think I ended up with the holeshot, but I honestly can't remember how I got out front. I just put my head down to finish out the day with a good result. I ended up passing half way into the AM field and had Eric Shaw on me the whole race. It turned out to be a great race and I couldn't believe my lap times. I ran a 1:25 off the line! and ran consistent 23's all race with the exception of two 22's!!!!! Including my new personal best of 1:22.7! I was on cloud nine Sunday afternoon.
I've already emailed Don to bump to AM for October and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll also be ordering a new caliper for my bike as my brakes were fading horribly at the end of each race, even with bleeding them after every run. And when I do my triples over the winter a scott's damper will be perched on top to help with the headshake coming over 7/8.
All in all a great weekend for myself and a lot of the NESR crew. Congrats to all. Always good to see everyone and I can't wait for October!!
1st in LWSB. did a 1:20. i was pretty lonely out there but i am happy that i was able to do a 1:20 and alot of 21s without someone to chase. i thought i was going slower then that but i guess thats good right? gonna take a sat off next race weekend to chase biggity in LWGP and who ever in GTL. without doing the math i think ive got the AM LWSB title wrapped up.that means white plates next year
i dont think im ready for that especially since i didnt really start dropping my times until recently. i would have really liked to do 1 more year in AM but i dont see that happening.
