After corner working Friday and Saturday I have a better appreciation for the work they do. I will never forget to acknowledge them during the cool down lap, even those poor souls in Turn one. After pushing bikes through the grass, up the turn to the wall and then back a few times, my ankle swelled and was unable to work, it is definitely a difficult job sometimes. It is a long day for them and it is awesome that folks do that job to help racers safety. Thank you to them all, you know who you are.
Thank you for stepping up and giving it a go when you were unable to race. Seeing racers out there helping out is really special.

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
I've played Frogger at NHMS. You definately have an appreciation for what they do. I took it to heart. It will be an experience that i will never forget. It also helped me in more ways than you think as I am sure you can attest to. you know how old you are is you know this...

I'm just a bill, yes I'm only a bill, and I'm sitting here on capital hill.....yes I know all the words to that one too. Good stuff.
thank you for coming out, Keira is right, we love to see racers out there helping out and giving it a whirl. It has lost some of it's luster for me lately, but there were a couple times this weekend that I had some renewed faith in it, so i must thank you for reminding me a little about why i am out there (it certainly isn't because i am getting rich off of it)... I encourage everyone to try it.
If you are a racer, do it and request a turn that you struggle with... you can learn a LOT of what to and not to do by watching all the different lines and riders go through the turns.
Thank you. I really appreciate what you and every other corner worker does after a similar experience as yourself. It not only will show you different lines, but will also teach how to handle the situation if you were to crash or have something happen to the bike to minimize the impact to others on track.
It really is a job that seems to go under appreciated in general.

Nice to meet and work with you on Sat, Bill. Sorry to hear about your ankle, I guess we hazed you a little too hard.
And thanks for your kind words. It provides some of the best seats for the races, but you've always got to be ready for something to happen.
You did a hell of a job Friday and Saturday. It would have killed me to be out there watching my friends go by. Good job stepping up!!!

Big thanks to you Rob, as well as Brendan, for showing me the ropes. I am glad that we have some retained knowledge out there as everyone gets up to speed. Things happen fast out there, your instincts and experience ensure that the right things happen just as quickly. Matt is was great to meet you again under different circumstances, hopefully we don't meet again with my bike on the ground
It was very difficult to be on the sidelines for the biggest LRRS event of the year but I do feel I help a few people. I know the experience has helped me a lot and I look forward to applying that in July. It is all in the hands of the motor gods at this point.
