I am just discovering that I have been missing out on a lot of contingency money, even as a novice. Can someone please explain contingency to me?
It looks like you don't even have to write the vendor to be eligible. From what I can see, in the case for Dunlop, all I have to do is run their tire and meet all their requirements for passing tech and then send in forms. Is that correct?

I know for Continental, all I had to do was sign up on their site, slap stickers on the bike, and Sandy took care of the rest. Oh and list them on the sponsor form at tech and on your LRRS profile.
when i won Conti contingency as a Novice, i had the rep (Brett i think) just send the credits to the tire vendor. that way i never dealt with any paperwork.
you have to have an account online though & it wouldnt hurt to shoot them an email to verify they recieved your race results from CCS.
Seems like some vendors require you to sign up with them on a website or something and some don't.
For example for dunlop, I don't think I have to do anything...?

Last yr and the the few past yrs Michelin actually paid cash. I was faster then and cashed in quite a bit. Moot point now though, I'm a turd out there now and Michelin dropped the program anyway. So the timing is perfect for me. lol. Don't know of anyone these days paying cash anymore...

Dunlop pays a credit to buy more tires, see Steve about that. I have forgotten about it then I had 60 Dunlop bucks show up in the mail.
Sharkskinz also pays a credit. the check just showed up one day.
All I did was fill out the stuff with Sandy and on my LRRS info.
I won't be in the running for contingency again for a while. I took off everything but the Dunlop stickers. They pay the best for the classes I run.
