You have to remember that he's a machinist. He can fab at the drop of a hat. Well, sort of.

Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK! - Endurance Race!
On my GS, I got some of the gray absorbant towels from the corner workers and used an ugly safety wire mess to hold it in place. A piece of screen tacked down with rtv would do the same trick and look cleaner.
As far as the pan, I ran a 9 x 3 baking pan, again safety wired to the frame. Pan plus pad and as long as it's secure you're ok. On the EX, if you have time grab some of the thin plate crap from Home Depot, use tin snips or pliers to cut it up and make something that fits between the pipes and will hold some oil. RTV the seams, stuff the pad to it and get'er done.

He brings up a good point. Make sure it fits tight to the body. Ex's already have ground clearance problems as it is without a pan.

I offered her a spot on-track, but she has neither an LRRS license nor an AMA membership.

I believe the name you're looking for is "Nana" - hopefully she brings her seein' specs up to the booth and doesn't fall asleep halfway through the race :)

All I know, is that one of the three teams on fresh Pirelli rubber better GET ON THE BOX!

Re: ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK! - Endurance Race!
Haha, sad thing is, on the EX's, even 3 hours of racing may not wear them out. I think Steve is gonna get both his bikes back with decent practice/trackday tires.
Good luck today all you guys, hopefully the weather up there clears up.
