Roll Call for Ninja 250/300 Racers for 2014

Just trying to get a sense of the playing field for the number of people who will be racing Ninja 250/300 for 2014. Toying with the idea of buying a Ninja 300 but I gotta take a long hard look at my budget for next year.

I am Racing a 300 Next Year for sure! No motor build, cheap on tires and it should be close racing.

My father in law ran a CBR250r this year and there was a young lady (Tori?) running a Ninja 300. They are both running in the upper 1:30's to low 1:40's consistently. I think the new class is going to be a great way to get started or to really learn corner speed for bigger bikes.

If you are referring to our last trackdays in NH, then yes - that was Tori on her Ninja... but I think it might have been a 250? Not sure about that.

I stand corrected. She was on a Ninja 250. She raced in round 7 but I don't know about any other rounds. Point is there should be more than a few riders in the new class.

She ran a 06 GSXR 600 all season and is going to shoot for the 250 Class next year....her dad is a cool shit too and raced the last round also.

Tori is running a '09 250. Round 7 was her first time riding the bike and she ended up with a best lap of 1:37. Which is basically equal to the times she was producing on her GSX-R600. I expect that those times will drop significantly as she gets more comfortable on the 250. She was constantly wrestling with the big bike and seems to be much more comfortable on the 250.

I think you need to get rid some of your bikes get something you are comfortable with and focus on that.
If you plan on continuing racing. If your main focus will be track days, hell get even more bikes if you can swing it.

I'm seriously considering this for next season but I'll need to get '250cc' stickers for the Ducati first.

Seriously, I plan on running that bracket next year and doing a serious amount of track day time on a lower powered bike. I think it will be a good opportunity to improve my riding skills. The decision I haven't made is if I'll also run the 848 next season too.

I'd love to do it, but any money I get is going into A-ko first, I'd have to basically luck into a machine to do this.

Only the Yamaha WR250X, and it has to be bone stock.
