    The final word on my crash.....

    Well after seeing four different hand specialists (two didn't even know where to begin to fix my hand) I have settled on a good doctor. The plan looks like multiple surgeries over the long term starting with some reconstruction on Tuesday afternoon. Man it didn't seem like that bad a crash as the rest of me is about 99 % functional but I guess the game is over for me for a long time. Good luck in the races guys.

    Scott, Right there with ya man. I know what its like to lose the use of a hand and to have the reconstruction done although it sounds as though your a bit worse off than I am. Best of luck on your road to recovery.

    sorry to hear about this, man...

    heal the hand.

    do what the docs say, and it'll go quicker (spoken by one who hasn't always been very good at that).

    and remember: when they give you a timeframe, it's usually the worst case scenario-- lotsa folk heal up lots quicker than the prognosis...

    Talking The final word on my crash.....

    so wadda say man...wanna be my therapy buddy?

    surgery is fun...they give you this stuff and then you wake up and you are all wrapped up. good luck to you and damn it give me a call, i got a lot of time off too!!

    I was wide awake when they dug into my hand...I got to see tendons, and nerve bundles! YEAH!

    Although they did gimme some decent drugs for pain...
    but I never used them....

    Ouch.....I gotta post some pics of this hardware soon........Surgery was cake but LOTS of pain for 2 days after in spite of simultaneous oxycontin AND vicotin multiple times per day. Talk soon.

    I saw GuntherRC51 at the ice cream shop the other day and he looks fine. Don't keep wishing him the best, because he is doing just fine. He bought one of those big foam Hulk hands and put wrapping around it and it telling everyone he has pins and things in his hand, but I'm not buying it. This is his way of making an excuse why he isn't as fast as me.

    Only kidding guy keep that hand of yours out of car doors.
