Any idea how log it should take?

you do not get your application back. You may get a license in the mail though. If you are lucky. Then again you may get three licenses in the mail, on the other hand,
you may not get a license in the mail at all.
Don't worry, if you credit card is good, the license thing will only be a minor annoyance.

It depends on when you sent it in. All of the ones that were in before the Jan 15 deadline have been mailed. Give it a couple of weeks.

My household sent two applications.. .me being a renewal and my cousin being a new applicant. I sent mine a month after his and got it backs about a month later. He on the otherhand has yet to see his. So by the sounds of things, your in the same boat.
Imagine your in line at the grocery store. The elderly woman in front you has two carriage's full of items. And none of them are marked. And it's the cashier's first day. And she's paying by check. Add a couple of days on to that and you should have a pretty good idea of when you'll see you license.
Well if I don't have my license how am I supposed to pre register? That is all I want to know. (I realize I have only waited a couple weeks and I am willing to wait longer, I am just trying to learn "the way")

learn the way by patience. Are you familiar w/ the military phrase "Hurry up & wait?" If not, you'll learn it.

VERY familiar.
I guess this would be appropriate.

Pre-regging as a Novice isn't a huge deal. You can pre-reg 1 week before the race and still get a great grid spot since the majority of the Novice's PostReg (I know from painful experience). Also in your first few race weekends it's probably a better idea to be further back in the grid so you can just deal with your situation. Stalling while in the front spots is a horrible thing to happen (RIP Steve A.).
Just food for thought.

sorry to butt-into your thread Doc... but...
Is there any pre-reg work a rook can do for the weekend? Or just show up with money?
They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

just show up w/ money and get in line. can't pre-reg until you have the license which you officially have after the rookie race.
And plan on missing the practice sessions on your first weekend.

Thought so. Thanks guys. As I remember it, its mayhem.

Ok so I already did a rookie race in Arizona. I want to do the rookie race in April but I also don't want to miss practice.
Hence another reason I would like to get Pre Reg out of the way.

So pre-reg for your races 10 days before the first race weekend.
You can't pre-register for the rookie race, you don't even post-register for the rookie race. The first race weekend, if you wanna do the rookie race, just go down to the Penguin garage & talk to em. I told ya that in another thread.
